I prefer bare but only do that occasionally with my fwb...anyone else it condoms or no fun...and yes, I agree with everyone that has said about skyns...they are much better than durex for sure...and no latex |

Non latex condoms are the answer and I have always used them and will continue to use them no matter the temptations.

If you have bareback sex then you have bareback sex end of - it carries a greater risk of std transmission than using a condom (which in itself isn't safe just less risky) - if anyone chooses to have bareback or any form of sex they accept the risk of stds end of there's no unsuspecting about it |

Condoms all the way. Of course the sensation is less but my health is more valuable then one night of fun.

I prefer bare, being gay, it feels so much better. But as another user said, you do run risks and I've had a scare before, thankfully, still clean as a whistle! Whether gay/straight if you like bare but wanna be safe, I'd use skins and liquid silk lube (amazon £10 for three pump action bottles) |

I'm allergic to latex so have no choice but to use sensiva or skyns as they're the only latex free ones available. They are a lot thinner than regular condoms so you feel it a lot more.
I very rarely bareback. Has to be someone that's clean obviously but a regular partner as long as they use protection with everyone else they fuck. |

I work in the NHS and we treat thousands/millions every year who are ill not because of random bad luck but because of lifestyle - whether you bats smoking, dietary, lack of exercise etc - all with a massively higher risk of death than bareback swinging - yet a large part of the population take those risks
So I don't go wow at all because people taking risks with illnesses and death is actually commonplace in our society |

Both points of view are actually incorrect.
If you bareback with a person who is not infected with a STI or if you bareback with one thousand people who do not have a STI there is no risk of catching a STI.
In a similar manner if you bareback with one person who has a STI you have a risk of catching that STI.
If you have sex using a condom with one person who has a STI you increase the risk of catching the STI but the increase of risk is not as high as it would be if you did not wear a condom as some protection is afforded..
The exposure to the risk is also determined by the type of STI and the type of sex indulged in, condoms only protect the area they cover.
Incidentally if you eat a 32oz steak and play footy for a week you have a good chance of heart attack. When I had my stent fitted the 8 bed ward contained 6 people who played football weekly, one person having a bypass redone and me

The argument I was making is that humans in our society choose to take risks that have a strong evidence base will increase their chance of death - whether that's smoking, drinking, being overweight, attending bareback gangbangs whatever - it's very common and therefore I don't go wow when people choose to take risks no

Of course some risks can be immediate - e.g. some drugs can produce an instant fatal response, a single bareback gangbang could produce a HIV infection - other risks are cumulative - e.g. We know lung cancer risk is higher with incremental smoking history
No one has ever argued all risks are of the same proportion or occur over identical timescales - you're arguing with yourself in an empty room over straw man arguments and really not helping yourself |
