Ive been invited to 2 private parties in as many weeks
Never done the party thing myself, i just like to chill out 1 on 1 with my lady friend so to speak but im starting to get more curious

Hi mate,
I went to my first party the other week and like you was a bit apprehensive. But there was no awkwardness at all. Everyone was very welcoming and as it was my first the ladies did pay special attention!
