I live nearby and my policeman friend said they are stepping up patrols this year, community officers and police. The sunbathing OK but anything else (especially the meerkats stroking off) is instant caution and fine....
Obviously I'll still be going though...  |

In Dorset, get the chain ferry from Poole.nice quaint seaside town nearby called Swanage, looks like it's stuck in the 70s  |

Yeah, I realised about that... I wondered whether people who meet on the beach retired to other locations - house parties, hotels, clubs.... Was wondering what the scene was
Of that maybe it is all traditional non swinging naturism? |

Being locals were be there. However have heard that there are parking charges now in force. 10 pounds a day, as I've heard. Not been down to see for fact.
I think it will put a lot off. As you have to pay for chain ferry too. |

Just as a gentle and general reminder, Studland is a beautiful and safe official naturist beach used by families and real naturists. Sexual activity is strongly frowned upon by both users of the beach and the National Trust who own it. The NT won't need much of an excuse to close it down, so please don't give them any excuses by being overtly sexual. It will spoil it for the thousands who use one of Britain's only naturist beaches. |

^^^ This!...We love this beach, although we are swingers we think all the meerkat's spoil it! By all means come to the beach, but please don't ruin it for the people who just want to feel the sun and breeze on their skin! |

Calshot's good for naked sunbathing, you need to be right down the far west of the beach past the slipway. Check tides as on the very high spring tides there's not much beach."

We'll be cycling down there from ours when the weather warms up. It's a 10 minute downhill cycle besides the beautiful harbour so more than happy for couples interested in hanging out with us to park at ours and join us. Much nicer than waiting in the queues and a lovely way to start a sexy day together  |

When I was there last summer there was a constant stream of walkers / lookers passing by, it was a bit uncomfortable.
Its a good distance to walk from either end esp in warm weather, apart from that lovely. |

^^^This too "Meerkats" haha, that brought back memories of the dunes in Gran Canaria and a baptism of fire with my ex wife!!....Joking apart though, such 'Meerkating' (new word?) is a bit rude and quite intimidating actually, God only knows how normal naturists feel!  |

Let us know about the parking. Someone said they thought you had to pay to park on Ferry Road? We normally park for free on the side of the road and walk through to the beach from the gate by the bus stop. |

I'm local from Poole but never been to studland to enjoy the beach - Sounds like fun and I'd love to try it.

I was there yesterday. How often does the ferry break down?
As if it did could be a real pain to get back to car?
If a couple was up for fun and to avoid meerkatting problems lol how would they go about it?

As some other posters have pointed out its a nudist beach,if you get caught by the police, there is no caution you are arrested and in court quite quickly
Then you will appear named and shamed in the local paper, as there are families and children about, who can quite easily stumble on people having fun and frolics
