Wherever the party is! |
Have any of you done this? I usually block those that I don't think I would get on with if I met them but this sometimes includes newbies who may change their attitude later on.
I guess you might say "they are blocked for a reason" or "a leopard never changes it's spots" but how much harm can there be in revisiting the block list?
Maybe I just have too much time on my hands! |

You mean you're revisiting your blocked list out of desperation?

Putting the 'cum' in Eboracum |
I sometimes look at my block list and think whether its worth giving them another chance, then I remember why I blocked them and think 'naah'.
Up to you though OP. You might have blocked them for other reasons. |

I like to counter block people who block me.
Some block because they don't like the fact you met someone they had previously which I find highly amusing.
If I block someone, which is rare, it'll be for a good reason and they will stay on there |

"Once they're blocked they stay blocked and get re-added if they leave and rejoin."
Bingo
This includes if they create multiple profiles or try to find other ways around the block. Tell tell signs mean they eventually get found out.
However...
When I first joined I never blocked anyone for a whole year because I did not want to hurt people's feelings. Even when my profile was copied a few times. Literally copy and paste job
As time went on I realised some people get too emotionally draining and they suck the fun out of Fab.
In the past I did go through a phase where I felt bad and unblocked people.
Now when I block I forget about them as another person already mentioned in this thread.
I don't have many blocked because only use that for extreme cases.
Got more people in my friends and hotlist so I think that is what they call a...
Healthy life balance
Or is that incorrect!?
Block button is there to be used and is first point of protection for everyone. |

Used to block people with 'no married guys' on their profile.
Then came on to the forums and found out that words on a profile don't necessarily equal actions in private.
Rarely block anyone nowadays |

i met a guy for a 3sum who was on my blocklist. wouldn't have met him if i hadn't left getting another guy to the first guy i was talking to.
it was great and a met him again a few times. so sometimes people you've blocked turn out to be good meets. |

I accidently blocked a lovely female friend the other day, while trying to reply to a post lol. It was followed by rapid pressing of buttons to unblock, while wiggles laughed at me.
Atm think we only have about two people blocked. |

"We use the private note facility when blocking somebody that way if ever we get the urge to unblock we can easily see why they were on there in the first place. "
Now that's just sensible.
Wish I had thought of it. I was looking through my blocked list just the other day (yes I was bored with way too much time on my hands) and I couldn't remember why. |

I only ever 'counter-block' when I see that someone has blocked me. I just can't be arsed to go around blocking others first or proactively. Since rejoining my block list is a big fat zero but I'm sure it won't be long until I notice I've been blocked somewhere.
But once they're blocked they're blocked. No incentive or need to unblock them once done. |

Never block anyone honestly too many people take fab too serious and are up there own arse, it's a fantasy world. Fair enough block someone if they are abusive or persistently messaging just think to many people are block button happy just my opinion |
