If it stays open for long then something is wrong.
Imagine doing a number 2. It's about the same width as a penis, and you close up after...I assume.
Taking things further, anal play including large toys can result in the receiver being able to briefly gape thair anus but as the sphincters are muscles they contract back soon enough...assuming play was not so rough as to damage them (which should never happen) |

It should never stay open and my own view is that too much anal is never a good idea as muscle tone can be affected and the last thing anyone would want would be faecal incontinence....And yeah I do have some medical knowledge before you ask |

If your anus is no longer closing then you have damaged your sphincter muscles. Pissibly no big deal as there are several of them but you don't really want to damage them.
In the past I've received inflating dildos, plugs and large vibrators in my bum...never had any issues with it staying open as the play involved lots of lube and patience. |
