Can you see it. Honestly can you?
We live our lives so Blinkered. As members of the site many see many things but miss too much. For many it's simply a means to gain and end. To gain sexual gratification for your particular need or desire. Sad but simple and honest observation. I am aware that this is not everyone however.
It occurs to me that many get so absorbed by it all they fail to see what else there is. My outside kink interests, work, both past and present pull me to a different view point.
I've seen many amazing things and some bloody horrible ones too. I have stood on the top of a volcano looking down upon the clouds knowing that beneath those clouds is complete and utter poverty and a totally different world.
I have given a child in Kenya a simple meal and a few pennies only to watch him be chased down and have it taken from him. Yet he still came back to the vehicle I was in and said thank you (before you ask I Was not able to intervene ) the fact he came back says a lot.
I have seen ice form in a dessert, I have watched it vanish in minutes. I have walked through clouds. When you have been that high you only realise how low you can be.
I have sat on the equator a little d*unk looking at the fattest moon. I have sat on the edge of a sea wall in the dark listening to the waves break and feeling the spray in the wind. Probably one of the most adrenalin filled things I've done.
I've seen hippos leave a lake and search for food, then legged it because they seen me too. They ain't as slow as you may think by the way.
I have seen the worst that our pathetic species can do to each other. I have seen the best and most courageous acts by those who should not have had to be in that particular situation. Yet they stood.
I have seen art created by the hand of Man. I have seen perfect art created by nature.
I have tried to capture it at times
I have failed miserably in my attempts
I may also have seen some of you. There is beauty in everything.
You just need to look

I'm not sure how to reply to this but how refreshing to read something different and thought provoking here. Your post nudged my imagination into life in a very interesting way trying to picture, and interpret, the scenarios you described.
I wouldn't mess with a hippo either - they don't have a reputation as one of the most dangerous land mammals for nothing! |

"sorry, a child got mugged and said thanks for that? "
No he said thank you for trying.
Unless you have been to Nairobi you simply wouldn't be able to grasp it. It's the weirdest place I've ever been.
The worst and the best |

We stayed in tin sheds you could hear em coming through the site and the occasional clunk as one of em bashed into someone's hut.
Long long time ago but amazing memories |

I've been to Kenya and seen that too... had a bag of sweets for the kids. Only to see them ripped out of my hand and fought over on the floor.
A barman that has to walk 15 miles home if he misses his last bus. So we all chipped in to do the washing up to make sure he got his bus home.
It really is a different world out there

Used to have to do duty driver once a week and take the barman home. You would not wish to live where he did, scarey |

You remind me of The Rutger Huer speech in Blade Runner.
These are good words. You've been to some wonderful places and taken note of special moments. There are these type of moments all around us every day, even in the most simple lifestyle. Rain on your windows, wind in the trees, a child's first giggle or a heartfelt hug. |
