I go to clubs and I see ladies making such an effort with their outfits , their hair and makeup etc, why do some guys think its ok just to turn up in jeans and tshirts ??
when I go out I dress smart black trousers, black belt, ironed smart shirt,
waist coat, aftershave on and styled facial hair ( not everyones taste) but I make the effort is this a good thing ?? |

Assuming that they meet the club's dress code what does it matter to you?
I wear what I feel comfortable in and wouldn't go to a club that doesn't allow jeans. |

I understand where you're coming from OP.
I appreciate a man who goes to the extra effort of dressing well,
First impressions count to me so a man wearing a shirt would definitely catch my eye more than a man in a tshirt.

I appreciate a man who makes an effort, that's my personal taste and a good looking man suited and booted will always catch my eye. Mind you a good looking man in good, well fitting jeans and a tight white tee shirt will too
However baggy jeans and old tee isn't my thing. |

I totally agree with the PO.
There are many ladies on here who are constantly bombarded with requests for outfits.
Many guys offer nothing in return.
The very least anyone can do is put on a shirt and tie and make sure they are clean and smelling great.
Level the playing field a little. |

"It saddens me that some people have so little imagination that making an effort equates to shirt and tie. "
yep this. Shirts and ties should be kept in the office or brought out for weddings and funerals. |

"We're all different, I love a man in jeans and t shirt "
I had a request to do some new pics in suit and shirt, but when I dusted off the suits I have, it became obvious (even to me) how out of date the things I have, actually are. I rarely wear a suit, they really are for weddings and funerals for me |

Why?
We all like different things. None of are wrong in what we enjoy or lack imagination because it's different to other people. |

yes I agree. ...I just don't agree that wearing a shirt and tie necessarily equates to making an effort and certainly isn't the only way, as some seem to be suggesting! |

Personally I appreciate someone that looks confident and comfortable.
We were at a club Friday night and I couldn't help but notice most of the women looked like they were auditioning for an 80's porn shoot.
My man and I reflect our alternative side in our dress sense, that doesn't change when swinging. We are always well groomed and 'put together' and appreciate others who don't feel the need to wear a certain outfit to be sexy.
Sexiness is evident regardless of attire |

I agree with the OP. If I am expected to to wear 4inch heals, stockings, a dress, nice lingerie and put on makeup etc etc if I attend a swing club, then I would have thought the men could also wear their best clothes. Doesn't have to be a suit, but nice shirt, nice shoes and smart jeans. Having said that in my experience men do dress nicely at clubs and parties, and we've yet to have a meet where the man is wearing trainers and hasn't put on a tidy shirt. And I'm pretty sure men would be the first to complain when women turn up for meets wearing the same clothes that they would go to collect the kids from school.

Well with the clubs we've been to it's the dress code that women should dress in a sexy/slutty way. With private meets it's frequently been requested that I wear stockings, heels and a skirt. I have felt the need to have a 'swinging wardrobe' as a result of men expressing what they like, and I like to please the men I play with. |

This,I'd rather see a guy look good in jeans and a tee than stood in a suit looking like his mum dragged him to a funeral.

Our profile pic is what we both wore to the club last night.
I (WB) wear jeans and plain T-shirts, but if it was to go out of an evening, I'd always team it with blazer, but that would be going out with friends etc. If I was going out, out I'd wear a "whistle n flute. The very least smart shirt under the blazer |
