I suspect that this is a very hoary, old chestnut.....but, is it really so hard for people, if someone does take the time to write a non cut & pasted email as opposed to sending a wink, to write a one or two line reply thanking them for their interest but indicating they would not want to pursue things?
It would be awesome if the site could have a template reply that could be sent for those who are too busy or are inundated with emails, do they could just click a box.
Lastly, if you are not interested, then at least delete the email rather than sitting on it! At least people will know then, but don't be so lazy that you just leave it clogging up your email box!!
Ok rant over...thank you. |

Asked several times each week but the established Fab pattern is to not expect to have to answer unsolicited messages. This stands for whether it was 'fancy a fuck' or a sonnet superior to sny from Shakespeare.
To be comfortable here this is something to expect. Our behaviours and expectations are set by context. The fab context is different to the wider world that any know. Adapt and survive. |

people often dont reply because in the past they have received abuse for declining others |

Ok, so I am obviously out of step and it is unreasonable, clearly judging by the tone of some of the replies?
Sadly, as in life, what you want and what you get are very different things.

Single women get sometimes hundreds of messages a day. If I spend a minute reading and replying to each one that's hours spent basically doing admin every day. Not fun and not why I'm here. Then how many of those will reply "but why?" or give me abuse, thereby increasing the workload further. So I'll continue to delete. |

I think in an ideal world, everybody would leave the site happy and recognised by everyone they've taken the time to message. In reality though, people are on here looking for their own fun and to spend time laboriously replying to everyone giving reasons why they're not right for you just becomes a chore. I know personally I'd rather have no reply than a long list of rejection letters..... |

very true. you cannot force anyone to do anything against their will and shouldn't expect them to. |

Out of curiosity, how many messages are we talking about here? I currently have 909 unread in my inbox!
To read and answer them all I'd have to neglect my kids and other aspects of my life!
Whilst I'm flattered that so many people find me attractive enough to message me, I didn't ask them all to and I simply don't have time to reply to them all - particularly if their profile is a silhouette or a cock pic!
Apologies if that offends you op!
Other than on fab I'd consider my manners exemplary btw! X |
