Hello everyone
I'm posting this to see how far any of you has travelled to meet someone?
Does the distance REALLY matter?
I can understand if you want a 'relationship' it would however this isn't a relationship site...
If you was to meet a guy/girl let's say once a month surely the distance wouldn't matter too much?

I would imagine it depends on ones situation and circumstance. I only get a few hours of an evening now and then to meet. I think it's a waste of time to spend it travelling. So to me distance is very much an issue. |

Let's be honest...Unless you are seeking something very specific (where it is worth travelling ) will depend on your gender.
Women often have the pick of many so there's no need to travel
Men have to travel because what's on offer is limited

I suppose it would depend on how long we had been chatting and the connection we had, Just for a social probably no more then a hours drive, Anymore and I would have to plan it in advance and I would book accommodation, For a meet I would book a hotel for anything over a 2 hour drive |

Distance doesn't matter if the chemistry is great and it's likely to be an overnight or weekend stay, for a quick meet then obviously it is, I've travelled up 2 and half hours, but we made a afternoon, evening and night of it xx |

dosent matter to me ,ive a diesel car and it does 500 miles to a tank of diesel which is £50
where i live i have access to all major roads ,m25,a1,a10,a406,a11,12,and14,m4,m3 etc.
most meets are in the evening so once the traffic has gone you can get 120miles in a couple of hours , and still be fresh as a daisy..
i think if theres an attraction and you fancy someone make the effort and meet... ive driven 150 miles , had the meet for a couple of hours and driven back the same evening .
ive driven 2.5 hours to a clubin wales too.....
my all time record a double bank holiday weekend , drove to folkestone , car on euro tunnel , ended up in denmark lol...all be it it was for a long weekend so id planned it , booked myself a hotel etc , did meet the lady but she had hairy armpits and b.o(true story)lol ..
so distance for me not an issue , adds to the excitement..

Furthest I travelled was Manchester to Bristol. I had met him briefly at a club and was due to spend the weekend with him.
Think I always knew it would be more than just a meet though. We have been dating over 3 years now and live together. |

I've travelled just over a hundred miles a couple of times for one guy - the same for another - both well worth the effort!
Also travelled around 200 miles to Jaydees (twice) for forum socials and had a great time!
As long as it's mainly motorway and not city centres I don't mind driving! |

Of course it also depends where the other party are, if somewhere full of nightlife then you can stay where you are & we'll come to you, if like us you have to travel just for a decent night out then we'd meet you there & stay somewhere nearby

Poison and I don't live together and have to travel to see each other. It started as just sex, but it's developed into something so much more...
Both of us have always had the tge view that if your looking for something specific or want to experience someone doing certain things, then distance shouldn't matter.
Having someone close for convenience is good, but we believe you have to click with someone to enjoy the experience so much more.
This is just our view though x |
