"Are they ok for medium to heavy flow tho x"
I would say yes to medium. I never get heavy flow so can't say to their effectiveness. The box states regular absorbancy so like a regular tampon I guess. |

"Well I only get heavy flow 3 days in. But we have a club meet tomoz night. And I'm hoping it will be ok for that x"
I normally mention that I'm using them just in case there are any surprises. ...haven't had any trouble though. Good luck |

I bought a pack last year but it says on box they are not suitable for an inverted uterus as the cervix is too high. I have inverted uterus so have not used any. XXX |

Can you use them if you have a tilted womb? Unsure of the medical term but apparently my womb tilts the opposite way to usual.
I wanted to meet this week but my period started. |

I think that's what I've got. Very interested to hear if anyone with this uses them successfully. |

my womb tilts backwards. ...maybe that's why I find them difficult to remove. ..as silly as it sounds that never even occurred to me! |

I've just looked at the FAQs on the beppy site and they do say it may be more difficult to remove but not that you shouldn't use them. |

"Are they ok for medium to heavy flow tho x" i used to have very heavy flows and yes.. they worked mostly. Had one time only...it was a fail.
To remove .. sit on the toilet.. relax and use your pelvic floor to push it down and grab and remove x |

I have used them a bit and they were great. I did find it difficult to remove but i think it would get easier with practise. However i have an almost full box of unused ones cus my GP changed my HRT and i no longer get any periods ! |

I've always found them good but have only used for light to medium flow. Getting them out can be tricky but I think I've perfected the squat on the bathroom floor and reach for it technique |

Hmmm, interesting - this might be something I'll have to look into (another tilted womb here, apparently) ... I've always been a bit nervous about relying on them, dreading a leak. But obviously far less invasive and with fewer side effects than using hormones like Norethisterone to postpone a period which is what I've done on a few occasions.
Are they only available online or can you buy them on the high street, e.g. from larger Boots? |

"I've used Beppe and joy division sponge tampons, I preferred the joy division ones.
I have a tilted cervix and found them fine to insert and remove.
Now on Depo injections so no periods "
Nice to read this, so many saying they're hard to remove.
I bled lightly for an entire year from 2 depo injections. |

I was part of the tilted retroverted uterus gang and I loved them. Had a few panicky moments thinking I couldn't retrieve one but always got the bugger in the end.
I've had a hysterectomy now so don't need them but would thoroughly recommend.

"Interesting thread. I'm thinking of buying some but concerned about removing them?
Can the man feel them during sex?"
I've just asked K and he said no not really...they are so soft anyway that I don't think it would feel much anyway.

my husband can tell when I have one in. ..but then he's used to the way I feel I guess. No one I've met has ever mentioned being able to feel it but then I always tell them I have one in. ...just in case! |

I have only just discovered these amazing little thingies after stumbling upon a thread about them in the forums!
I read and did some thorough research on them and bought a pack of the wet sponges on Amazon.
They seem expensive at approx £3 per sponge! But when you think of what they allow you to do on your period that you otherwise couldn't then the cost is very much worth it! And yes you CAN have sex while one is inserted and from a female perspective it doesn't feel any different at all! And as it is effectively only blocking the cervix, you can still get wet and enjoy sex with it in! I am looking forward to trying one with one of my VWE partners who usually bumps my cervix during certain deep positions, I am hoping wearing one will act as a cushion and I won't have my cervix hurt! Lol. |
