My least favourite on fab is.....'I am having to move out because I can't pay my rent'.....really, some people must think blokes on here were born yesterday.
Not on fab it's the phone calls that start 'you may be entitled to thousands of pounds due to mis-sold blah blah blah'

"I have an irrational dislike of the word lush."
I don't like the word lush, And for some reason its sounds worse when Men use it, And when people say "that's Vile" for trivial reasons like something someone is wearing or the way they look |

"Babe makes me dry up like the Sahara
I can deal with it when people are on friendly terms with each other, But when they are strangers
"
Exactly. When I know someone it wouldn't really bother me but being addressed as "babe" by a stranger is just weird to me. |

"Saw a status that said "Lukin to destroy some pussy"
I mean WTF?
Its spelled "Looking" . "Spelt" even"
In American English, spelt primarily refers to the hardy wheat grown mostly in Europe, and the verb spell makes spelled in the past tense and as a past participle. In all other main varieties of English, spelt and spelled both work as the past tense and past participle of spell, at least where spell means to form words letter by letter or (with out) to make clear. Outside the U.S., the two forms are interchangeable in these uses, and both are common.
But when spell carries the sense to temporarily relieve (someone) from work, spelled is the preferred form throughout the English-speaking world.
You're welcome |

Nothing really bothers me apart from the word "cunt"

I love the word cunt. It's the word that doesn't stop giving. Single words don't really upset me. But phrases like "On the blob" make me turn blue and pass out.

I can't bear either of these. A guy at a club recently said that next time I was there he'd 'really like to lick me'. If he'd said fuck me I might have said yes!
The term that irritates me most is 'age is just a number!' Usually from people out of my preferred age range (which is very narrow I admit) as a response to a 'no thanks'. |

Surely everyone uses popular, well used phrases or sayings at some time? I dislike txt spk though it originated at a time when each character racked up your costs. Quite unnecessary these days. I also dislike the use of peeps for people! Wasn't that Harry Enfield years ago?? |

I've noticed that most slang words for the female genitals seem to come across as crass or distasteful to the majority, eg; Minge, Cunt, Gash, Growler (haha), twat, and the most unpleasant sounding I've heard is probably "axe-wound."
By contrast most slang words for the male genitals sound either silly or humerous, eg; knob, todger, bell end, willy, cheb, sausage, plonker, even cock sounds a tad silly sometimes.
Out of curiosity how do most ladies on here refer to their own sex, given that practically all names for it (with the possible exception of fanny, others that sound like something either a 6 or 86 year old would use such as 'foof' or 'ladygarden' and the actual medical names) sound off-putting to so many? |

I hate the phrase "looking to". I never heard it until relatively recently (last 10-15 years) and it bothers me. |

"Not phrases, but the words 'Hun' and 'Babe' make my flesh creep! "
Actually agree with this one. Wife had texts from potential playmates, every text had, Hun, babe, chick in it.
Very off putting, like texting a bimbo |

'Quim' actually sounds both inoffensive and enticing... I think we have a safe option that doesn't result in the 'WTF?' response here, so you may be onto something!
And 'pussy' is a funny one, as it's the equivalent genitalia name of marmite... |
