Hi all,

Apart from our "hello" post I think this is our first post! And prompted by the male prefrence thread decided to write this.

Just curious what others thought about how you judge profiles?

We've had a few unplanned meets now in clubs - which have ALL been fantastic! (yes we do feel lucky! )

However, when we talked afterwards, we've agreed about every single one of them that had we seen their profile we'd have probably skipped past them and not given them a second look.

Obviously in person these peopel hav ebeen wondeful and have no regrets at all!

It's made us try and be a lot more open to profiles, and just wondered if others had the same experience?

Thanks

D&K

We agree, actually not had that many meets from this site, but all the ppl we have met at our local swingers club and now consider freinds are all on Fab. Think in a club the atmosphere is there to get things in the mood etc etc, and the personalitlys come through. We deffo love the club now, but still try and get private meets from fab. x

I think we all experience the same thing. When considering a Fab profile, the only information we can use to evaluate potential meets is the written word, and 'still' photographs. However, when we meet someone in a club situation, the whole of the rest of 'body language' comes into play (do they have a sense of humour, smell nice, are they friendly and approachable etc).

Someone once said that only 10% of communication is the words we use, and the other 90% are the intangible aspects (which are difficult to convey in a Fab profile)

As a single woman, I've never been to a club so I can only judge someone on their profile. Possibly I *am* being too hasty at times and missing out on someone I might have said yes to in person, but life's too short to worry about it.

Yes, I agree as soon as we start making compromises and meeting people speculatively to see if they might have the qualities we're looking for it would soon become a full time job!!

Like you I don't visit clubs, but I guess in that environment it's easier to weigh people up and yr not going out of your way to do so.

we have found that we judge people a lot on their pics or the way they write messages.

that way we pass by a lot of people. I often thought we should just meet them to see what they are like in real. But not enough free time makes it really hard.

And to be honest, the meets we had with people we didnt meet for a social first we chose from body shape and cock size

at the end we just all want great sex!

Yes we are guilty of it.....and found the same, met people at parties that if we would have only seen their profile and not met them in person, would have turned them down if they had contacted us.

But saying that, probably still guilty of it as it's generally all you have to go on.....don't have time to meet everybody just incase you click with them in person.

This is why i prefer chat or the forums, profiles are rarely enough to judge if u will get on from.

We've more often met great couples in clubs, where we probably would have ignored the profiles. We are often impressed by the profile wording enough to want to meet,

I (Mrs FG) know i'm picky as anything when it comes to profiles and yes, we've thought the same after fun at clubs, that we/I would probably have said a polite no thanks if it had been that person messaging us.

However, I believe I have the right to be picky, not because i'm anything special, I'm really not but because if 'that thing' doesn't click then I don't want the worry that it might be the same if we actually met that person. Yes I might miss out but I also like to know that the decisions i or we have made, I am completely happy and comfortable with.

Not sure thats come across right but I know what i'm trying to say lol.

We used to have a long profile on here, it had alot of detail about us and what we liked / disliked etc. But we just cut it all out to the bare minimum after a number of social meets which were disasters - meeting people who on the surface seemed to be what we are looking for but in person were completely different.

We are seriously giving some thought to doing the social meet side at clubs from now on - playing the crowd, so to speak. Because, as its been pointed out above, meeting in person really is the only way to know if its going anywhere at all for us.

Then again, its probably us - not them!

when we look we look at description, age, photos then verifications.

Usually if its not verified and they still tick out boxes we mail and ask to verify them with cam, phone or meet, if they are verified then we look at how interesting they seem. We dont see ourselves as snobbish, but were a pretty confident and outgoing couple so were happy to meet most people unless we are sure we will not click.

I have noticed that once we send a message to some couples who have winked us, we dont get a reply, and we get the "premeture friends request" Is that a common occurance?
