"Winks are ignored unless they come from someone already on our friends list.
With messages, they get ignored unless someone meets our criteria. "
That's why I'm ignored I'm not special |

winks are generally deleted, and unless the person is someone i know the person is blocked. Messages, dependant on content are replied to. Unless its just a 'hi hows you' or 'gr8 pic babe' then its deleted. If message is rude, sender is blocked. |

I don't acknowledge winks, I just delete.
If I got a message from someone who met my criteria and I didn't fancy them I sent a nice message. When I was meeting I had on my profile I wouldn't respond to anyone outside my criteria: and I never did! |

I sometimes perve from a wink unless its obvious they are not in my preferred age group, then I mass delete
Messages similar though i often respond even if its to tut at them for claiming to have read my profile when clearly they havent |

Some people seem to appreciate this."
Doesn't matter though does it, if your not going to meet them anyway? |

I personally don't see anything wrong at all with winks, some folks seem to be so uptight about them! I always send a message to thank them for the wink, regardless of who they are. The length of the message of course, depends of whether or not, I want to pursue it |

Winks and friends requests from people who have no photos in either public or private, and cant be bothered to write more than a line in their profile, are a waste of time.
Ive had 4 in a week from couples with no photos and nothing in their profile to go on. It's like advertising something on ebay, and then not telling the potential buyers anything about the thing your selling. |

If someone winks and we are interested we wink back and forget about it. If a message from some who fits oir criteria we will reply either way. Simples.

The reason i dont reply to winks is because im very unsure about them, i always view winks and things chancers send, you know send out enough winks and someones bound to reply, so im never sure if a wink is sent because they like me or because they have just mass winked ever local woman on the site

I would never reply by message to a wink.
I have an elaborate wink system a bit like morse code.
one wink back = You're OK I shall be polite and return one
two winks back on consecutive days = I'm not interested.
two winks back on alternate days = I am not interested and think you are ugly
3 winks back on consecutive days = I'm interested and would like to have funky love with you
3 winks on alternate days = I like one of your friends on your friends list can you tell them?
Works a treat! |

a wink i would ignore
a message i would respond to
if someone has taken time to send a message i would always take time to send one back irregardless of whether there was anything down for them or not |

I look at profiles of those who wink at us but to honest we don't really tend to get very many....can't say we wink back or would contact them to say thanks for the wink but not sorry not interested.
But we do reply to most emails if they have obviously read our profile and are not just a one liner or asking us if we want to meet in a couple of hours...tend to just delete those ones. |

winks are exactly that and if after checking them out and I think there may be a future in it I wink back..just as you would in a club, bar etc etc
Messages...if they have sent a well worded and considered message then I would probably reply purely out of courtesy..
as I'm not bombarded with messages or winks! and have the time to respond..
can understand why some don't though |

I read every single message I get... I couldn't possibly respond to each one I just don't have the time, and to be honest most are not worthy of a reply anyway.
I never even get to check my winks... by the time I've dealt with everything else on this site I barely have time to do any actual shagging!! |

We might wink back to the few winks we find interesting, which says 'balls in your court, now write us a decent message', but otherwise we'd delete undesired winks.
Messages we triage into three tiers - how's yous/fucks todays/shag nows/free to chats (deleted on sight). Then the saw your profile and liked it type messages with less content, maybe nervy and a bit tongue-tied but an expressed interest (given a thanks and a short response to coax a longer answer next time). Oh, and longer careful more expressed forms of interest penned uniquely with perhaps an undertone that floats our boat(which get a full response and getting to know over many messages, leading ultimately to a bodily fluid exchange and damp undies all round)...

Unfortunately no, I don't receive 20 or so winks everyday but then, sending a message to say 'thanks for the wink' etc, takes all of 1 minute to type. The choice of course is completely yours, whether you want to or not but as you said, because someone has winked, you automatically assume it's because they can't be bothered to write a message
How many winks do you get "

"I always reply with a "thank you for the wink" or the message but than I try to give a gentle let down, after all its only polite and it could just so easily be you that's getting the KB"
Of course you guys think it's polite to always respond! We thought that when we first joined but it quickly got boring/annoying/irritating responding (trying to please everybody) responding to 30+ messages a day ......roughly 2/3's were one-liners or copy and pasted messages from folk that hadn't bothered reading our profile
Think about it... 30 a day, 210 a week, 870 a month.... it got tedious (obviously we didn't actually count but all a rough guestimate).
We are here for fun... not to be trying to let chancres down politely over and over again! |
