...... when people use material things to attract others to them ?
can't be doing with 'i have a fabulous apartment in .....' or 'i have a property in somewhere sunny if anyone would like to join me' etc etc
i couldn't care less what somebody has or hasn't got as long as they are clean, nice, genuine people and are up for some fun
and with that rant, i think i need to go cool off in the shower |

We couldn't give a toss about what other people 'have' - don't like showoffs and go more for personality etc - had to laugh ages ago we met a guy and it was obvious that we weren't interested in taking things further so he tried 'I am a pilot you know' just in case that'd make me drop my knickers! (It didn't!) Z |

I just read it as… "I have an inferiority complex and feel less inadequate when I talk about material things"
Of course this is not always the case, but I lack the interest to find out if it is or not. |

Exactly ppl with lots of money and some class, dont feel the need to brag about it. |

I like people with no class.... they tend to be easy smutbags
On an almost serious note:
I don't mind people talking generally about some good fortune, indulgences or extravagance… it’s all relative after all. One person saying “I bought a new pair of shoes and love them” or “ I want to by a new phone, something that’s the dog’s bollox” may be more of an extravagance for them than fitting a hot tub is for someone else.
I get turned off when it is used to imply their indulgences makes them ‘better’ or superiority is implied…. “I only drink Champagne” and then go on and on and on about it.
I really get turned off when it is used in a profile or pm’s (hence the location pisstake)….. as if it will hold someone in good favour for a shag “oowww I’ll overlook the fact I don’t fancy you because you have a sports car”..,… actually it might do if they were offering to give me their luxurious swanky 5 bedroom villa.
But as I don’t intend to fuck forumites…. I’m off back to the price comparison sites to find a nice 55” 3D TV to mount in my bedroom ceiling (see - I even have the glasses on ready) |

I find attempts to lure me with blah about a big house or fancy car a total turn-off. That applies whether I'm swinging or dating - I'm just not interested in material possessions, only the person. |
