Well it wasn't me.
She just met and fucked me... about 20 minutes after she left she texted me to tell me she was "sorry she couldn't come tonight and couldn't let me know earlier "... ehm.... poor guy !!
I responded by saying I thought this was gonna be the "I had a lovely evening" text...
Never heard from her again. |

A few years ago, a chap we were due to meet texted Rea and told her that his wife has discovered he was due to meet us and had told him that he wasn't allowed to leave the house for a week.
Have to admit we pissed ourselves laughing at that one! |

He didn't feel comfortable meeting a single female but then I pointed out he had veris from couples. He went UNLOS then came back a few weeks later and started chatting to me as if we had never spoken before. I blasted and blocked him. Then I had a break and when I came back, he tried for a third time. |

He also had a new verification next day!I don't know why people lie and can't just say they changed their mind or got another meet.

I drove from Leicester to Newcastle got to the hotel and waited, finally got a message saying she couldn't meet because she was too upset by the ending of Eastenders and her makeup had run and it was going to take her the rest of the night to sort herself out. Luckily i have friends in Mewcastle so i went out for the night and got shitfaced and ended up spending the night with a lovely woman who i am still friends with now.

I actually had this, and it turned out to be true.
I got a text a few weeks later apologising and could we meet up, her ex had actually stabbed her, cut her face and messed her arm up, cut tendons and so on.
I thought she was taking the piss until I got there and saw the mess she was in, and various bits of surgery afterwards to sort her out. (yes he did get put in prison) |

I arranged to meet a girl in Costa in High Cross in Leicester, so about an hour's drive. Waited and waited and messaged her.
Finally got a reply after I gave up, she had bumped into a school friend on the way and fucked him instead! |

I once went on a Friday night date with a lass who turned up with 4 bags of shopping from Iceland.
She stayed for about 35 minutes then insisted upon leaving because she needed to get her frozen stuff in the freezer.
An extremely elaborate way of getting out of a date if you don't like someone. She could have just faked a phone call.

I had this recently, arranged meet in pub, he turned up 15 mins late (not a good start!), bought half of lemonade, had a sip then asked me if it was alright for him to park on the double yellow lined busy main road outside by bus stops. I explained it was likely he would be causing a disruption and I didn't want him getting a ticket so told him about the free parking 200m away (as I was hoping he might come back to mine afterwards!). He then said he was off to move his car, I saw him get in it and drive at speed in the other direction! Guess what, 5 mins later he messaged to say he had to do an urgent errand for his ex-wife. Clearly he hadn't liked what he'd seen but didn't have the courage to say it politely to my face. |

We used to meet a guy regularly at a club. He then pushed to become my main lover and pushed to come to our house. He was due to arrive at 7pm. At 3pm he texted my husband. He was with his church friends at Wimbledon watching tennis finals. They had suddenly decided to 'grab a bite and a movie' and he explained that due to the 'mix of friends' he was with he unable to come up with a 'credible alibi' as to why he couldn't join them. He assured us that he would get to ours by 11pm. We told him not to bother coming as I wasn't going to sit around waiting til it suited him to show up when this had been in the diary for weeks. He got quite a shirty text message from me, and he told me that's the way the swing scene is and even with the best made plans things come up. His double life of swinging and his religious beliefs got the better of him in the end and he 'retired' from the swing scene, though we did catch up with him socially last about 6 months ago. |

Oh yes..then there was the guy who failed to turn up and left me sitting in my car in a club carpark for an hour...then blocked me wben I asked him why.
Oh and the OTHER guy who left me waiting in a pub carpark at night then expected me to turn up at his flat after 10.30 pm because 'a job had run late.'
And people wonder why I prefer to meet in a club. Warm, well lit, drinks and company to hand. No contest. |

I arranged to meet a couple at their place, it was a one hour journey away by public transport. I arrived about a few hundred yards from their house and the heavens had opened and was raining in buckets! I texted them to say I was just about to arrive (at the time we agreed), they replied that they were not ready, could I come back in 2 hours!!. I was soaked already, so just went home. |

All the excuses I've had have been vague and not really possible to prove or disprove. Their nature would have also made me seem a bitch if I'd kicked up a fuss. It may just be a fuck, but it's also a commitment to do something and not going through with it for anything but a reason you'd cancel on a friend, is nothing but rude. |

This is how we felt in our earlier days of swinging. Cancellations due work reasons, or friends coming to visit. Would make us sound unreasonable if we questioned their rationale. But deep down we always thought 'sudden work event on a Friday night - seriously?' Aren't work events planned in advance? And at the very least we could meet when the clients go home. And friends dropping in without notice expecting plans to be changed to accommodate them. Again we think 'seriously?' We have a life as busy as anybodys, but these things that seem to 'come up' that warrant a cancellation sure as hell never happen to us. We wouldn't dream of cancelling someone for the reasons that others have considered a legitimate reason. |

We were hit by a dumbass deer attempting to cross the A1 on our last trip up to VA.
Mind you, that said, we pulled the damaged trim off the car, limped it to the hotel, got a cab to VA and properly sorted out the car the next morning. I guess that's just the kind of people we are! |

The one that I always remember was the guy I'd arranged to meet in Birmingham for a drink with the view to play if we got on
So I got the train and went to the agreed waiting place and waited, about 15 mins later I got a text saying
'Been a change of plan I'm meeting somebody else now but I'm free tomorrow if you want to reschedule?'
I didn't reply I just went home and about an hour later I got another message saying
'Are you still about? bloody times waster didn't show up'
10/10 for honesty at least |

Not quite the same thing, but...We were waiting in a pub once when the guy rang to say his car had broken down. We naturally assumed he had had cold feet or was a fake, sighed and drove home. On our way we saw the car he had described to us on the side of the road! Ended up with wife giving him a bj as we waited for the repair vehicle. |

We've had that a couple times. Once was the day before. Everything all arranged and then he said "he'd feel uncomfortable meeting a couple." But has veri's from couples.
Had my mum's been taken ill. We said sorry to hear that. This was 40 minutes before we left house for a meet. He then messaged the following day and said mum much better, but could he meet me (Rachel) on my own. I said no and asked if that was what had happened last night? Amazingly he said hes and said that I wouldn't hold it against him!
One local guys keeps messaging us of a new profile every couple of months asking for a coffee. When I say yes, sure, but see that you now moved yet again from the town you last said you were from the profile vanishes. He even sends the same photos.
But the worse excuse is silence. Sitting in a hotel room waiting and it's a no show. Of course genuenly hope that he hasn't crashed on the way, but it never is. Just no reply to text or messages on here. Then message gets read three or four hours later and no reply. That hurts. |

The guys dad died and then he posted up a meet looking for a gang bang ... a couple of months later he tried contacting me again ans said he was just out a business meeting with his dad
The bad weather had blown his niece trampoline across the garden and he had to go fix it down
On the way to meet someone and they decided to go meet someone else instead and then invite me along hoping for ffm when they were halfway there ... i declined and then when it never worked out with this other girl he called me half an hour later wanting to stop by mine on the way home |

I've been pretty fortunate i think as regards no shows and cancellations but one really pissed me off. I had been chatting to a guy for weeks and finally arranged to meet at his hotel. I had got myself all really, texted before i left the house - yes all ok, can't wait for you to arrive Etc. Handsfree phone chat en route - yes all cool, really horny for you babe etc. Got to the hotel car park after an hour drive and rung him from the car to get his room number and guess what? A bunch of his friends had arrived to take him out for a drink, sorry got too cancel.
Another occasion just made me howl. Had been chatting to a couple and it seemed that it was all systems go. Then on the day i get a message saying the wife had decided not to meet cos i had better legs than her and she felt she couldn't go through with it! As if. |

I've used the Mother Nature one. Happily chatting to a guy on fab, pics looked good and arranged a meet. A couple of hours beforehand he messaged me on what's app - his pic was not of the same man. I casually asked who was the guy in the pic and he said it was a new one of him. The pics on fab were definitely another person and this guy was actually a real minger |

It's astonishing how many of these posts are from women being stood up. Honestly, there are way too many time wasting blokes on fab who screw it up for others. Do they really think they're that much of a God's gift to women? Or are they loud mouthed fakers who, when it comes down to it, can't manage to sneak past their wives? I was a single guy on here when I met my Sexy J, and would never have been rude enough to stand someone up.
We've been stood up as a couple a few times. Against our better judgement we have been known to give one or two a second chance. But they get blocked if they fuck us over twice lol.
Our most notable stand up was a renowned local couple who organise parties. They had arranged to come to ours after we'd met at clubs and at theirs. Shortly before the meet, they messaged saying their swing life was taking over their real life and were as a result taking a step back from it, albeit with continued parties now and then. Fair enough, we thought, we understand that. Lo and behold, hardly a day goes by without their profile displaying a new veri, new meet, new house party, new everything lol.
Generally we simply get the silent treatment as a stand up, no cancellation. Which is why we always wait half an hour after the arranged time, and go to our local club if they don't show Plan B rules xx |

After a successful meet ....arranged another with said guy ...
He stood me up 4 times.
1st ..... his sister had a stroke
2nd.....one of his dogs had been spayed ....and he couldnt leave her ....
3rd ....sister had had a fall .. snapped her ankle ( im presuming he had more than sister...
4th.... His sister "died"...
It was at that point I took him off my friends list ...
He messaged me several times ....asking why id took him off my friends list ...
.... then he told me I was a timewaster .... needless to say ....now blocked |

Ive had cancellations where they just stopped contact when time for the meet. Once I messaged asking which entrance to use for their building and when I rang their apartment number and messaged them just got silence.
Another was messaging me as I drove to meet them at a hotel. Messaged to say I was parking and she replied. Then messaged to ask if she wanted to get a drink in the bar or straight to the room and she got an emergency phone call to say her mum was in hospital in the 2 minutes it took me to park and get into the hotel and she was well verified too. |
