What's everyone's thoughts on everyone having to be a silver or gold member??
There so many fake profiles and timewasters on here that I think if people had to pay you would get rid of a high % of these people... Be interesting to hear what people think of this? |

Yes I know you don't have to pay but that's what I'm getting at if you had to do you think it would get rid off the fakes and timewasters?

Not really.
I'm not fake yet I can't pay for site supporter the way I used to. I wouldn't be willing to leave the site just because I'm not a site supporter. |

There and to the left a bit |
To be honest the fiver a month it costs wouldn't make a great deal of difference - there would still be a lot of those that we'd all rather not see around still signing up.
From other similar threads on this very subject people have said that other sites similar to this that charge much higher fees are still populated by the less desirable types - so I don't think forcing paid membership on anyone would make a jot of difference. |

No.. The question is directed at the fakes and time wasters on here.. "

If you think it would make a difference, change your preferences so only site supporters can message you.
I've been messed about on sites that cost a lot more than £5 a month. Even idiots have spare cash. |

I posted as a friend had a weirdo blocked and removed from the site.. She was told they wouldn't be able to open another account but they now have another account opened... I'm asking the question more in safety for females as they shouldn't need to put up with the crap they do receive from these kind of people

If this person keeps making new multiple profiles your friend can block newbies. |

Yes you can initially.. The point is though there must be a better way that once these people are blocked they stay blocked from joining?? The whole point of paying a fee means that there personal details have to be given so it can be sense checked? |

I am sure fakes and timewasters can find a spare fiver or tenner somewhere, how is that going to stop anyone? |

I know it's not going to stop all.. The point I'm trying to get across is if people have to give there personal details if there are any issues there is answer on who that person actually is.. Surely ALL site members should be able to feel safe and not threatened.. |

We pay. We filter out non-site supporters. We also use common sense and carefully check verifications. We have NEVER in over 2 years of using this site knowingly come across a time-waster. And we probably play about once a month. In fact the only reason we know there are timewasters is because people keep banging on about them in the forums.

Fab doesn't keep personal details, and people can use their phones to top up by text, PAYG can be untraceable & some people use a different phone for fab.
Has your friend tried changing her name, location or hiding her profile for a while to try and shake him off? |

"I don't feel particularly justified in using my student loan to pay for membership
It's £5 what else can you get for £5.
I've always been a site supporter "
That's half a weeks worth of shopping for me, also I don't feel that I need any of the membership exclusive features. |

Why not some people don't have much more than that I only have £15-20 for shopping means basics and special offers it can be done.
I'm not having that mate."

If I only had £15- £20 for shopping then I'd get my priorities right and stead of paying monthly phone bills or broadband and being on fab I would eat properly |

I'm not judging, I am single Dad of three and and work for everything I've got. I find it hard believing you saying you can live off £20 worth of shopping a week. what I'm saying is if I was struggling I'm get my priorities right and make sure I eat properly |

Not arguing over YOUR lifestyle "
I'm not arguing over anyone's lifestyle. I'm quite intrigued how someone can live off £10 a week. |
