We have noticed a big increase in aggressive, or generally negative profiles. It's obvious why, and we completely understand that it is to deter the people you don't want. but come on people! Let's be more positive!

Besides, you can guarantee the exact people you wan't to deter are the ones that message without reading anyway! :p

Exactly. If I started getting cross about the people on a website I would feel it was time to re-evaluate my time there, so ranty profiles are pointless to me.

If you aren't going to meet them does it matter what their profile says?

not at all, it would just be nice for the community of 'liberated adults' to be a bit more cheery from time to time, but hay the same could be said for all corners of the internet.

yup, We would much rather her about peoples interests, desires and personality than see who they defiantly don't want to fuck.

I find negative profiles a bit of a turn off. A bit too mechanical and more focused on what they are not looking for.

Each to their own I suppose X

Its no surprise to find the majority of ranty aggressive profiles come from Fems and Couples.

Men by and large do try to put some effort into injecting personality interests etc..

But often to no avail. Such is the nature of the Fab beast.

We find it a turn off to see a list of do nots, and generally ranty profiles. Would much rather read what you like, and see if we share those things

Just had a peruse of your profile. Nicely done. If only most if not all profiles were like yours.

Real shame you had to block the males, but not surprising.

All the very best.

That's exactly it! like we get how frustrating it can be, but rather than telling the people your not going to meet off, how about putting something for the people you want to meet

I wouldn't say ours was negative, but it does (hopefully) get across what we are and aren't looking for

We still receive messages from those who clearly don't fit the bill, but any such messages are always treated with respect rather than contempt.

I like to nose at profiles. The ones that make me smile are always a winner.

Shouty/ranty ones are a total turn off and I think it suggests possibly at what sort of person they maybe in the outside world.

I agree people take this site way to serious, I you fancy someone get it on if you don't delete, easy. Everyone isn't going to like you so just enjoy the ones that do!!!

I agree I like profiles that tell me a about the person/couple and what they're into, not a big list of DO NOT's

Keeping it positive and happy is way more attractive

I'm not a fan of those profiles that put themselves on some sort of pedestal, single ladies who expect the man to pay for the hotel room, couples who insist that any man meeting them must bring two bottles of wine with them to a meet for example.

There is a lot of this i agree. I think it stems from folk who have had unsavoury experiences and/or messages so have become pissed off. I know I am fussy and others really should be but there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. I think my profile can come across a bit negative to some folk but I really need to deter the arseholes/desperados and simply abusive vile folk who sometimes frequent fab sadly

It's hard work doing all this research

Not sure there is anything wrong with asking a guy to bring a bottle of wine or pay for the hotel. .Depends on your financial circumstances doesn't it at the end of the day

As it would for the guy who was being asked to 'pay'

completely get what you mean. There is some truly awful characters around that don't deserve the title 'swinger' however from our experiences at least, people will just tell you what you want to hear, or ignore your requests anyway.

Tell them what you don't want, and they will pretend to be the person you do want.

We would much rather catch them being who they really are if that makes sense?

To have it on a profile implies you expect them to always pay, every single time.

I don't usually care what people write on their profiles. I've seen it all. However, I did happen to spot one the other day from a single woman which was incredibly aggressive to the point of being scary. It had the usual "been here before" so do this and don't do that crap. It was the use of one particular word to describe the men she didn't want bothering her that shocked me. I couldn't quite believe it. She sounded like an absolute nightmare from her profile so god knows what she would be like in reality.

This being Fab though she was probably knee deep in cock by the end of the day with her diary full of meets from now until Christmas!

I understand that some women and couples get a bit weary from past experiences but I'd much prefer a slightly more cheery profile.
