.id go talk to the clinic as its not the same risk at all. Oral is a lot less risky.. not risk free but I hate it when people try to mind fuck people into believing that if you do oral bare that you may as well do full sex bare... its stupid logic. |

It's not no risk, but it's not the same level of risk as penetrative sex. Best thing to do is to educate yourselves about the risks and decide what you're willing to accept. |

Oral is a must for me (giving and receiving)and I always worry about this, ppl on this site are swinging therefore have more partners than most....even ppl that play safe have accidents or lapses of judgment and although oral has lower risk there are still things like herpes n warts that we don't want all over our boat races lol |

Well think your clinic needs retraining then.. as you can get herpes even using comdoms. My clinic and to be fair most places ive checked all say that while a much lower risk there is still a risk.
Ive never contracted anything in my sexual life oral or otherwise... and we are talking sucking multiple cocks a week for most weeks since i was 24... so thats a few. |

Same here and either we've been lucky or the information the op has been given is flawed .
The thing is this , if we only ever did things in this life that are 100% safe we wouldn't do much at all would we ? |

The risk from contracting aids through oral is extremely low as in unlikely.
The risk only increases if you have open sores in your mouth or you suffer from bleeding gums.
The facts are out there. |

" I normally find those trying to convince people that the risks are similar are those that would rather go bare... I maintain that its significantly less risky to suck a cock bare than it is to let them fuck me bare and therefore i will carry on not using condoms for oral but will do for full sex and carry on getting checked every 4-6 weeks x |

A sense of proportion is needed here.Oral sex, unprotected is extremely low risk,on par with kissing! Exchanging saliva whilst having a cold/ flu can transmit a virus..
The worried well via guilt would do well to stop worrying and enjoy what a lot of us think as SAFER sex..
It is reported that over a million people carry the herpes virus and don't even know it,as often it has no symptoms..not sure how accurate this is, perhaps someone can kindly tell us. |

HIV is a very fragile virus once it's outside the body. The risk of contracting it through oral sex or having someone coming on your body is very low; the risk increases if you have open wounds. It's not just blood, but other bodily fluids can also pass on the disease. Since we can't see inside our vaginas and rectums, we don't know if there are any wounds and the risk also increases if there are any other stds/stis present. Wearing a condom, although isn't 100% safe, does reduce the risk greatly for penetrative sex. Just look at the statistics since 80s on how the infection rate have been greatly reduced! Unfortunately, a lot of people have become complacent about it, as now it's a disease you life with, rather than die of. Gone are the days when reports of infection and dying rates were reported on the TV. |

One thing that hasn't necessary been considered or mentioned is the cross infection between those you give oral too.
For example if you have taken a load which is stil in your mouth and then start oral on another person then the risk of passing an infection to the other person is quite high. |
