"If it was the past and not something I thought could be shared then I'd not say anything.
You can't start a new chapter if you're still reading the last one"
True but you cant start a novel half way through and properly understand it |

Our past is what makes us the person we are today. In a relationship being open and honest about everything, including your past can help build a solid foundation based on trust.
Hubby knows everything that has happened in my past and I know everything that has happened in his. We love and respect each other. Know what will be likely to cause hiccups and know what will need us to be there for each other. If we hadn't been so open and honest from day one then things may not have gone so smoothly for us |

It was something I has done so when we first started dating I mentioned it to her but not in much detail.
She was fascinated and it turned out her imagination and enthusiasm for swinging matched my own.
It was something she had always wanted to do but until she met me she never had the chance. |

In terms of swinging then yes it does. However we've both had relationships prior to meeting here, when we met I was still married. Those relationships failed for various reasons and we have learnt and moved on. When we got together we talked about our past relationships, what was good and what went wrong. There are things in our past which have contributed to the end of previous relationships. For example, in my previous marriage we tried for ten years to have a child resulting in 8 miscarriages. Eventually it drove us apart. When hubby and I met and thing started to get serious between us we decided that we would never put our relationship through that sort of pressure, it was too precious to risk. |

"If you met someone in real world would you admit your swinging history ?"
Starting a relationship from scratch, yes.
Much more difficult in an existing one. |

"Yes I would but I wouldn't see it as admitting anything more as being open about who I am. I haven't got time to waste on someone who didn't know all about me."
Honestly is always the best way especially in the start of a relationship. By doing this you both know where you stand and have no secrets. X |

I could be with anyone who didn't accept me for who I am, all of who I am. As _elma and shaggy (from Bedworth not the crime fighting gang from USA) our history is what makes us who we our. I wouldn't like to be with anyone who see the world as black and white. For me it's complex, dirty and beautiful at the same time. I don't fear the truth, it's important to me warts and all. I have long stopped living in a glass house. |

I wouldn't see the need to discuss my sexual history at all! My ex-husband had two kids prior, I got to know his ex...never knew about anyone else and the same for other partners.

I had a happy and content marriage without knowing the ins and outs of my husband's sex life. The death of our son ended the marriage.
Whether he liked being flogged or not would not have changed that. |

I have been seeing a guy not from here for a couple of months now. It started out as just sex but we meet up regularly and don't always have sex. I told him from the start about fab. I met him through another site. He knows I'm still on here but not looking for sex. I did tell him that if someone caught my eye I'd consider meeting them. The same goes for him. If he were to meet someone then that would be OK with me. Once we both tell each other. |

when i have mentioned my lifestyle to men who arent on here they are shocked and think we are weird because they dont really know us they make all sorts of judgements even the ones who are cheating on their partners, at first they may say its ok then they change their minds. i suppose its best to wait until you know each other better. the last man i told was like this, he said that if i was seeing him that i shouldnt see anyone else because it would be wrong and risky even though he was married, i didnt meet him in the end though. |
