He just wrote this...hahaha

To be completely honest with you I do find myself becoming a little despondent with the shear mind blowing calibre of thought, attention and effort being put into messages on this site, when you actually stop to consider the insurmountable odds faced by single males on here compared to the amount of couples and female profiles, you single guys have one shot to send a genuinely engaging, thoughtful and heartfelt message and yet we receive message upon message where not a slight ounce of effort has be woven into words. Indeed the wordsmith is dead.

I understand where you are coming from but I think a bit much is expected from single guys at times. People say use the profile etc a lot are just generic nothing to use to be witty etc so you will just get generic messages. If your looking for mark twain try the library.

Personally I think a simple hello is enough, then we have a look at the profile, if we like then we say hello back, then a guy can put the effort in. A big elaborate first message seems a waste of time and energy.

People complain about timewasters, single guys seem to be expected to waste so much time typing elaborate messages when the recipient might just glance at their pic and say 'no thx, not my type'

How many articulate and well written, personal messages get a response from couples?

Even Shakespeare got ignored and rejected.

Yeah the message has to be tailored to their generic boring profile and be some in a sort of comedian or poet style.

A message doesn't have to be war and peace, but a polite and friendly one will often get us to read a profile. If we see something we like we would reply.

If we aren't compatible we won't.

We have had 2 memorable first messages from guys on here. One of them was just a single sentence, but clever and witty. Most, are as descriptive of the sender as a cock pic!

This is very true. It has to be a hard life on here being expected to put so much thought into messages for a no.

We don't expect war and peace, a well written sentace or 2 is plenty as long as some thought goes in to it, we will reply.

It's the guys and sometimes couple that say "fancy a fuck" or "this big enough for you" that get no response
