I blindfolded and tied my last meet to my bedstead with some silk ties, then proceeded to stroke and tease her with the tip of a silk tie interspersed with some light spanking with a kitchen spatula.
She enjoyed it. |

Whatever you do when you design it make sure the things you make have a safety release option on them (or you have something that can cut through).
Bondage is a massively wide range, so maybe some explanation of the types of things you envisage? Are you talking turning your bed into a suspension frame, or making your own handcuffs, or attaching carabiners onto furniture as fixed points, or using pallet wrap to attach someone to something, or making your own spanking benches etc. There are sooo many options! Give us a hint! |

Chain through a length of copper pipe and 2 snap locks make an easy spreader.
Cling film is widely available - make sure you have safety scissors to hand!!
Tights and stockings are useful too.
I've used small dog collars for ankle cuffs before and dog leashes on those.. imagination and bed posts are wonderful things...
And the most important things . .. safe words and actions. Traffic lights. |

Okay, having broken a few professional spreader bars in my time (I have this stupid thing where my legs will clamp together with a ridiculous force if I am cumming hard from a wand), I'd advise making sure you use something strong. I'd also say to not just make it solely to fit her. You want to have a good degree of flexibility in how you can use it if you can (No reason not to use it on arms, or knees for example). I once made an awesome pillory, which was surprisingly easy to do given my ineptitude at these things! I made it in such a way that it could be a spreader bar or a traditional pillory. That was a very fun toy!
I used to have a silly little book someone gave me as a gift at Christmas which was a make your own sex toys book, and that had some fun ideas. I'd say give it a google and you'll be surprised at the information out there. There are quite a few kinky engineers in the world that are happy to share their knowledge.
