Will couples think we're time wasters, if it takes a while to meet?
Jump to: Newest in thread
We've mostly swapped at Chameleons until recently. We're now doing home meets and socials, and we seem to have a lot of interested couples.
As we only play once or twice a month, it could take quite a while to meet some of the couples.
Is there anything we can say etc. to let them know our situation, without sounding like tarts collecting notches (which we're not!!)? |

you just tell the truth and explain your situation. decent couples should respect and understand that and be patient. anyone who says your a time waster should just be ignored as you will find plenty of other genuine people who will be worth giving your time too |

They can think what they like.
If you tell them the same as you have put here its up to them whether they want to wait and meet up with you, or move on.
I wouldnt worry about it if I were you. |

Thanks guys.
We do try to be as honest as possible. But sometimes we feel that we're a bit too honest.
We want all our meet couples to feel special, and not in competion with others we are meeting. So we try not to be too overt with the number of couples we are aiming to meet. |

we just point out in our profile that we both work shifts and it can take sometime to get back to them. lol so sometimes we get to play 2 maybe 3 times a month, othertimes we might not get to play for months on end.. just the way it is.. |

It happens my last few meets have all been months in the planning and the wait has been well worth it |

Hope not, or we must be the biggest time wasters on here! We're terrible to pin down on a date, but fortunately most people understand you can't always drop everything to meet them. Would hope we've been worth the wait for those that have made the effort.. hope
To us, the real time wasters are the one's that arrange something then drop out, arrange something else then drop out. Things genuinely can happen that force you to change plans, but at least try and pick a date where (act of god not withstanding) you at least have a good chance of actually being free.. |

You could explain the situation on your profile but then you'd face the challenge that few people, couples included, read profiles.
Whatever you do there's some who'll find ways of branding you as whatever the demons of the moment are.
There's nothing you can do about it, especially since such comments often fall into the 'woe is me, check out my profile and tell me I'm wonderful' type contributions we're seeing so much of these days |

We have many family commitments plus we sometimes work away . Therefore sometimes takes us ages to meet . However this has never been a problem as people understand . We have now put free playdates in the profile and find this often helps as people know when you will be free next xxxxx |

Spot on.
We use the time in between meets to make friends, get to know people via chatrooms etc and build up the anticipation.! |

Why not arrange to meet some at chams?

We get that now and then. Like lots of other couples our play time can be limited (and then when you do have the time you can seem to find anyone you like!!!) so we rarely meet outside of the club in our area.
Just ignore people who call you that. You're not the time waster, you're being honest about what people can expect. You didn't waste their time, you didn't lead them on - they choose to waste it themselves.
It's a bit like the people who say "I want the last 2 hours of my life back" after seeing a movie they didn't like - as though forced to do it! |
