Interested to know what peoples thoughts are of them ?
I don't have any but I find them hot on women and I imagine the women on here tend to think the same with regards to them on men.
Tho have noticed that some women dont like them full stop and wouldn't entertain a meet.
Curious to know if you have them, whats your favourite if your favourite tattoo ladies and you looking to get more ? |

I have one tattoo that I love. I'm not looking to add any more as the one I have is a show piece.
I think if they are done professionally they look great on males or females.

I hate that everyone has them now. Most folk look the same, same hair, same sleeve....
If you're getting one then I think it should be 'for you' not to fit in and not to display to the world, hey I've got a tattoo.

I have a few. My 2 favorites are a fairly large phoenix on my ribs, and a large one on my sternum /ribs of a lock, roses and filigree. Having it added to next weekend, and booking a rather large thigh piece for my next one.
The others are unfortunate teenage mistakes, that if I'd known then what I know now, would never have made in onto my skin. But hey ho, live and learn
None have any meaning. I just like them, and my tattoos are body decoration. |

It's funny, they are so fashionable now that nealy everyone has them (exaggeration).
So the next generation are going to see them as something their mum/dad/old people have. So obviously won't want them.
In 50/60 years time the old peoples homes will be full of totally coloured in wrinkly people. Being looked after by untattooed carers... |

Also squddies and tarts, according to my mum when I was a kid.
Never been able to get that out of my head. So while I can appreciate them, I've never really liked them. |

We are both tattooed
We both like them
They are personal though
To us, some look dreadful but if the wearer is happy with them, who are we to pass comment
It's like choosing what to put on your walls : do you go for the mass produced £9.99 Dunelm canvas or do you save up and buy a one off watercolour or oil painting from an artist you admire ?
There's space for both |

I love them on women... Nothing better than a naked inked woman.
I have a sleeve, half a sleeve, one on my leg and one on my back... Theyve taken me years to get done because I didn't want to rush it with things I didn't want. Everything I've got means something to me one way or another, not someone who's just gone in and picked something off a wall |

It's what I treat myself to. I rarely drink or get my hair done..I do it myself! I don't really go out to pubs or clubbing, just my monthly visit to Jaydees. and it's just something I treat myself to. Obviously alot of work is ongoing and by different artists and I also have a few close friends who are artists and get mates rates. It's not cheap no but it's just something I do I don't own a fancy car or buy expensive clothes etc and probably get tattooed on average 4 of 5 hrs every couple of months. X |

In my experience. A lot of women seem to love tattoos, I guess a certain type of women perhaps but they do like them. Obviously good tattoos not just poorly done tribal tats. |

I have 3.
All individual and unique to me, and of particular significance.
1st one I had, waaaay back in 1995, is at the top of my right arm and is of a Fender Stratocaster - because I play.
2nd one is on my back, a little below my left shoulder blade and is of a Killer Whale - my favourite animal
3rd one is across the middle of my lower back and is the logo / badge of my car in flames - (visible in my public pics)

Good tattoos are expensive (as a general rule)
I know plenty of places that'll work at £50 another and I wouldn't let them anywhere near me.
From what I've seen from these lower end studios a sleeve is generally one or two main bits and the rest is filler....clouds, wisps, shading....looks shit.
My first tattoo was at one of these places and there's a reason I'll never go back. |

My OH has two tattoos, both of which are deeply personal to him.
It annoys him that loads of people have the same rubbish inked on themselves. Tattoos are supposed to be personal - after all, you have them for life!
We love tattoos, but only when they're discrete and meaningful. The current trend for sleeves will leave a lot of people with regrets in years to come! |

I actually have to disagree ... life can be full of regrets anyway and some have way deeper scars than a tattoo
If it makes you happy then go for it and let's face it when they are old and in a retirement home what a great topic of convo to have with the others about their ink and maybe even their Fab ventures haha |

I used to want one across the shoulders but that want faded years ago. I do appreciate good tattoos though and currently I like sleeves on women done in preferably black rather than coloured.
The wife has 2 small ones but is planning/designing one for her back, but all have sentimental values and isn't one just to have for show.
Bodies mostly covered in them isn't great however, bare skin is nice also |

I'm quite happy being a blank canvas and don't think that would ever change.
I quite like tattoos on others but I dislike sleeves and ones across the chest. Not saying I won't meet someone if they had them just saying that I don't particularly like them. |

Generally not a fan, as I think bare skin looks sexier than inked. However there are some fabulous tattoos out there, and I prefer the big statement pieces. My pet hate is the little random bits and pieces, which for me don't enhance and to my eyes look a bit of a mess. But each to their own, we all like different stuff. |

The whole thing about a tattoo has to be deep and meaningful doesn't quite wash with me.
Some of mine have a lot behind them, but I think the whole concept of tattoos needing 10 years of thought put into them comes from the America tv shows about LA and the like a few years back.
My latest one is a suicide girl holding a gun asking if you wanna play Russian roulette I just thought it was a fucking awesome idea |

How far up does it go, I'm guessing to the top of your arm? Was it 20 hours total tattooing time?
Seems a lot of hours for the size of it.
I think I've only got about 24 in my full arm |

Yes mate it goes up to the top of my shoulder. All the shapes have a weave inside. They are outlined in black ink and the colours are all blended at the edges. Not easy to see from the photo. The colours are very bright. Women mostly love them some men are not so keen.

I have several and all bar one mean something to me.
I'm looking at sleeve idea for my left arm as need to even them out a bit, my right side in more tatooed lol.
Mr has a few as well.
I don't mind them on other people either, and do occasionaly see some and think 'why did you get that, its horrible' but just like not everyone may like some of mine, I got them for me and no-one else so it doesn't matter what others think.
And I always laugh inwardly when I see the strange looks I sometimes get from others.
Some people have art on their walls, I have it on my skin x |

I like the way some people feel its ok to just tell you what they think about your tattoos, i mean you wouldn't go over to a fat person or a person with a big nose for instance and tell then how being fat or having a big nose makes them look horrible but for some reason it seem ok to do this to people with tattoos |

I had a guy say to me in the gym spa that women shouldn't have tattoos as they're not ladylike! I said I don't give a shit what you think, I had them done becasue I wanted them and they mean something to me.
As to the OP, I love guys with tats, full sleeves look great.
The thing is when you say anything back they get all huffy and offended, i had a woman in Tesco not long back make commemts on mine so i basically told her to look the other way if she didnt like what she saw in this direction and she called ME rude "
God, we're such ruffians us people with tattos! |

I like all of mine but I got them for me and me alone. I don't find other people any more or less sexy with them and choose not to display mine on here since I'm uncomfortable with the fetishisation of them. Just because they've become more ubiquitous doesn't mean I want to be defined by the fact I have some. I mention on my profile that I have them, however, since I know some people do find their presence a turn-off and that prevents disappointment later. |

Because you're setting a bad example for the children, cover up your artwork when in public........ if the children see your tattoos, they will think it's ok to have tattoos and then they will want to get one... this will further drag down polite society...... Have you no heart? Think of the children |

I have three . I love them and the tattoos themselves don't have meaning but they mean something because of when I had them done . Tattoo snobbery annoys me -whether that's from people without judging those who have them or people with them who think theirs are the bees knees and everyone else's are shit

"Had my 25th and 26th tatt done last week, I had them done for me and don't care if others don't like them. "
I'm always slightly baffled when people can give you an exact number beyond, like, ten. I haven't got the patience to try and figure out an exact count for one thing, plus when does a group of individual tattoos merge together and become one? (say, a sleeve or a bsckpiece?) Logistical nightmare.
I like your wings though. |

When you have tattoo's over a short period of time it's not difficult to keep count lol. My sleeve or back is not individual tatts they were done all at once not separately so obviously it's one tatt. |

I have one on my shoulder. It is personal. I would think of getting another small tattoo, not any old tattoo, it needs to be personal.
Although I like tattoos, I'm not keen on loads of them. |

People mention only liking good tattoos/artwork, but doesn't that subjective? We've seen awesome artwork placed wrong on the body, tribal that flows with the natural shape and looks awesome and so called "one-off-tattoos" that we've seen done a hundred time.
Its all about the client, if they love their tattoos then balls to anyone else. Xx |

This is so true.
A guy I vaguely know showed me a picture of a 'really good' octopus tattoo and asked me why I didn't go to a better tattoo artist to get mine because then it would have looked more 'realistic'.
I told him that it looked exactly like the reference image, thank you.
So he suggested that maybe I'm not very knowledgeable about art and that I should have got help to pick a better reference image - one that would have looked better and more realistic when tattooed.
To which I pointed out that it's a copy of a woodcut illustration from a French encyclopedia that is several hundred years old... which I discovered in my research during my history of art degree in which I was awarded a 1st, as well as a cash prize for coming top of the class - which suggests that I do indeed know something about art.
I do wish that people would just keep their opinions about others tattoos to themselves. What did old Abe say? "Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove all doubt." |

I love mine and keep adding to it bit by bit, half sleeve on one arm and a couple of individual ones on the other. Only one of the individual ones has any meaning to it, the half sleeve is just a nice pattern, no meaning but I'm happy the way it's developing.
Tattooed woman can look incredibly sexy whether it's large pieces such as sleeves or small delicate ones.
