"what about south African accent

Now I`m quite the opposite, especially when it`s an English speaking Affrikaner (sp?). I suppose I have the memories of my sister telling me how they treated the blacks during the apartheid period when she was out there.

It`s that combination of Dutch and English "twang" that grates!

"Essex for me too

Ah, but do you mean Essex or Estuary/London?

My family are from rural North Essex, and their accents are a million miles from the TOWIE accent you are thinking of.

Not keen on any strong accent - particularly Scouse (the high pitched variety), Brum or Black Country!
