Hope this does not cause too much trouble!
When we 'browse' people and they have a nice profile but only have pics in their private gallery, we sometimes request as friends.
To be honest it is to see what they look like, as we only like to meet with people we feel attracted to, christ there is no point meeting a couple you don't like the look of them!!!
Is this frowned upon and are we considered as pic collectors??
Hope we are not wierd!!

for us blind friend invites only gain a block and delete, why not send a message first and attach face pics, if they are interested they will more than likely reply with face pics then take it from there.
that's my tuppence worth anyway

As with all aspects and tools on the site, use them as you see fit.
I sometimes get friends invites from people without any contact first. I'm not mad keen on it personally, but then I'm a bit devious too - I wait until their offline, perv their profile and decide whether to keep them as friends or not!
So no, you're not weird, but a lot of people aren't keen on it without some contact first. |

Personally if we are interested in a profile then will email asking to see a photo rather than sending a friends request.
But perhaps we are the weird ones lol as it seems quite a few people do the same as guys.

An invite without a message would be deleted by us.Not because we are bothered by pic collectors, if someone wants to wank over me i see it as a compliment, but because i have a blanket policy of not accepting requests from ppl i have never spoken too.
It keeps the friends list manageable, and i dont see why a request is being sent when we have not even spoken. If someone wants to meet us,message us.If nothing comes of it,no harm done.i do not count everyone on my friends list as real world friends, but most are,and all are ppl i have interacted with. |

"Forgot to say if we receive a random friends invite then we just delete it...
But then we do state in our profile that we don't accept them unless we know you."
Its on our profile and we still get them! |

We have been inundated with friends requests with no other contact lately. We tend to just ignore them if the sender is keen enough to meet us they will eventually send a message. Well thats our theory anyway. |

This bothers me a lot.
Have the common courtesy to get to know the person and send a message first. Not just invading "do you look good? No, then we'll remove you"
I had a couple add me, so I accepted, sent them a message saying Hi, how's it going? blah blah. They deleted it and un-friended me, all the space of 4 minutes. It's annoying and rude to have no "hi, how's it going, i was wondering if...." |

Sorry sorry everyone, we only meant where they have no pics public, we wouldn't want to start a chat/conversation with a couple that just didn't float our boat? those with pics we always message first. Hey still not sure if this sounds right!!! |

Hint - the key is in the words - "Friends" invite...
If you can't be bothered to make friends first, then don't expect to be accepted!!!
And private photos are private for a reason - you get to see them when you've given at least some evidence that you have at least one more brain cell than an amoeba...
For myself, I'm hardly likely to accept a friend's invite from somebody who cannot be a friend because - ipso facto - they haven't even bothered to read my profile to the point where it says that I don't accept invites from people that I don't know...
Still, if you must - keep trying and I'll keep deleting and blocking....

wouldnt accept an invite to be friends with people i havent spoken to ... why would you want to be friends with strangers .. yes you have to be attracted to people to meet but a conversation is usually a good start point |
