I think that was back in the 1970s, before the internet had been invented, and was probably a myth.

It's a myth. You'll find none outside our house so there's your theory shot down instantly

It's just 70's urban legend.

It's a well that hot tubs are the true sign of swingers.

Fact.

Yes, it's a fact. If you wait naked in their hot-tub, hard-on at the ready, you'll be sure of fun

What pampass grass means is that the residents grow pampass grass.

It's interesting to think it does mean swingers.

Way back when I was a much younger version of myself a lot of friends parents had it in front lawns. Now the interesting thing for me is the number of adult only parties they had, and also a few of them did end up swapping wives (big scandal in the quiet leafy suburbs, the local butcher, bakers and post office mistress and talking about it) I knew that it was a close knit community

There and to the left a bit

Don't forget the ankle chains and packet of OMO in the front window!!

OK the packet of OMO was more for play away housewives to signal "Old Man Out" to any lovers but it's along the same lines!!

I have pampas grass in my front garden and I'm not a swinger The feathery things look really nice and, anyway, I hear they are a bugger to get rid of.

Defo a 70's thing

My grandparents have it in their front and back gardens.

There it is a 70s myth for I cannot bear to think of the alternative.

"No bud I think more recently too. "

No

Not really a secure system as anyone could grow it leading to misunderstanding.

What we need is some sort of website where swingers can put up a profile of themselves and contact people prior to meeting them.

Much better than planting grass in their garden in the hope that some single guys will have heard something from a friend of a friend which informs them that they can just come in for a random ride.

What about the decklander rumour,if you had a deck in your garden you were into swinging.there would be some strange looks given to some people, with their hottub in the middle of their deck which was surrounded by grass.

We don't like pampas grass so we've gone for a huge neon sign on the roof proclaiming the house to be Swingsville.

Yeah it's a well known swingers sign back in the 60/70's, whether it's actually true or not is another matter entirely.

It wasn't a myth where I lived in the late 90's. A road near me had several houses with pampas in their front gardens and it was well known that they were all swingers.

I grew one in my front garden and had no luck at all

With a fab name like ours we really ought to get on to this thread!

We have a pampas grass in our front garden and another in the back garden. The truth is that they were there before we even thought about swinging... but maybe it helped give us the idea!

I've got a Chameleon that lives in the Pampas grass outside but it's invisible to the naked eye. You can perhaps catch sight of it if you're in the left of the hot tub which is to the right of the decking on the 1970's style crazy paving patio.

Does the Chameleon have an ankle chain on?

Funny you should ask that but yes it does.
