We guess it is as long as it takes others to think that they want to be friends with the person as well, just as in everyday normal life.
The mistake that some people make is in thinking that this is a casual sex site and everything just happens.
It doesn't.

The problem is not everyone will be successful at making friends on here. It's an impersonal web site when it comes down to it and while some people seem to get along well and become friends in real life it doesn't happen for everyone.
So nobody can put a time limit on it really.
