I've recently been trying to get out and take more pictures with my camera. It's a bit too hard (difficult, not the other kind...) to try and take pictures of yourself.
Therefore, if anyone is looking for some new pictures based in/ around London...ish then please get in touch with me
Cheers, Harry |

There was a thread similar to this yesterday with someone else making a similar offer. They never go well.
I made the mistake of offering my services over a year ago.

"Sorry to be the one to break it to you, but I felt it only fair to give you a heads up
What happened?"
Based on past experience with these threads it's usually that first people want to see prior work/some decent pictures on the "photographers" profile rather than just crap phone selfies.
This usualy never materialises so no women want to meet what is basicsly a normal bloke who bought a camera.
Then every so often a bloke goes "I'd be up for it" and the photographer turns them down saying they only want to do women.
Questions get asked by the women and theres ususaly some feeble answers before it's revealed that the photographer expects play as "payment"/part of the deal

Very true. It has the element of you never get something for nothing. People don't tend to be particularly altruistic in general. My cynical head feels like there could be a hidden agenda.
Your profile doesn't show you to be the best photographer. As the above poster said, it just seems like you are a man with a camera. Sorry OP |

I made a post to this a while ago, got shot down in flames, however 2 people did send me a private message asking to see prior work which I was happy to show, from that I had one very good shoot with a lady not far from me and the other unfortunately never materialised due to distance.
My advice to you OP is if you are serious you need a portfolio readily available to show you're not just a perv with a camera, I personally use modelmayhem, although I never get work directly from there it's handy to show your work to others. |

is the OP not asking for some one to take his pictures ? so a bit hard for him to make a portfolio if he needs some one to take the pictures !!
and I am sure he would feel comfortable in front of a man taking the pictures for him !!
from past experience men don't like being in front of a man with a camera, same for a lady at first. the best way is to take some normal pictures first. this way every body is relaxed and get to know each other. also give the photographer a chance to prove how good they are, before taking naked pictures

No, he is not.
He's looking for a model to use his camera on.

If you look around on Fab you will find some good photographers that will simply shoot pics without hidden cons.
I spend a lot of my time taking naughty pics of people most model released work & those here on Fab who simply want discreet photos which there is no charge or any expectations of sex.
I do hope the people on here who have asked to play after their photo shoot have done so because they liked me & not my camera lol. |

Does my head in that anyone with a camera calls themselves a photographer, WHY? I own a lawn mower but I don't call myself a gardener. Having been in the industry for 27 years I've never understood it. Digital certainly made it worse and just because people can now view the image instantly it makes them somewhat skillful. Makes me laugh when guys post on here who think they are photographers and basically give professionals a bad name. If you want good pictures for your profile then go book a pro (pro meaning someone who earns their main income as a photographer). Someone who will charge and give your quality without any underlying agenda, a pro who will not keep your pictures for personal use or possibly post online one day. Madness if you go anywhere else other than to a professional studio or agree to be photographed without a signed contract. We see and hear it all too often from clients and could tell you some shocking stories. Be wise as safety, discretion and professionalism outways thrill seeking would be "photographers". |

I posted a simular thread on an old profile. A couple got in touch he was a photographer and said he would help out. I went round on a Saturday he took some pics of me on my own then a few with his wife. They invited me back to have a look at edited pics next day. Ended up having a 3sum with them. Shame I deleted my profile as I lost touch with them. They were regs in the forums. So can happen. |

Go into the London forum, there are several posts either from photographers looking for models or people wanting pics taken, I'm sure you could come to an agreement with someone you take theirs they take yours kind of thing |

Here occasionally, but mostly somewhere else |
It's not difficult to take a good picture of oneself.
Any stable surface can support a camera if you don't have a tripod - maybe you have a table, or a shelf?
And either your camera has some sort of self -timer, or it probably isn't good enough to have you selected to take pics of others (from the many worthy applicants).

...in short, you will definitely have to be able to demonstrate a certain standard on here if you're going to offer the service.
I've never known a photographer, real or claimed, give a plausible reason why their profile pics shouldn't be judged as representative of their ability. |
