I've always said and seen printed in cards that it's a "Merry Christmas and a happy New Year", as per the carol.
Is wishing people a happy Christmas a regional thing?
I'm not being a grinch, just curious. |

I mostly always put /say happy Christmas. ..merry Christmas suggests to me that alcohol would be involved and although not a bad thing I tend to reserve a merry Christmas to my adult friends |
