I have had osteoarthritis for a few years now,it's worse in my knees but I now have it in my hands and I was getting other symptoms i assumed were to do with my arthritis but it turbed out I have fibromyalgia as well.

Not the greatest but what I wanted to ask was had any fellow fibro sufferers had any experience with licodaine infusions? I am going to the pain clinic tomorrow for one...for those who don't know its when they hook you up to an IV for anow hour or two and pump you full of an anesthetic type thing! I've obviously read up on it but I wanted to know if anyone has actually had one and the outcome they had! X

Hi....someone very close to me has fibro and yes the infusion can really work. Hopefully it will give you some much needed relief & I'll keep my fingers crossed for you. It may only last 2-3 months though and NHS will probably only be repeat it every 6 months .

Message me if you want to know more x

My ex partner was diagnosed with fibromyalgia for years. She has recently found out via a blood test she has too much calcium being produced due to a growth on the parathyroid gland. This has given her all the syptoms a fibromyalgia. Always worth asking for a simple blood test to rule this out. Try a Google search about symptoms etc.

I can't be of much help but the last two weeks of being almost imobile they think I may have fibromyalgia ... but I need to have further tests because my father has spondylosis so no one really knows what is wrong with me; or is it just something external and not a concern?

wherever i need to be

There is an FM support charity that you might want to hook into. You'll have too google it as it can't remember the web site but they will be able to offer assistance.

I have FM, but spending days at clubs, in hot-tubs and warm pools and lots of naughty play makes me feel lots better
