Dangers of meeting guys who have access to number plate data!
This guy seemed.great and after a social got me back to my car.
Drive.off and said we would keep in touch...lo and behold he was 'just passing' my home - a few days later and waved. Despite him living 20 miles away. Happened again until the penny dropped and I realised with the nature of his job he could access this but didn't think for a.moment he would use it to look up car reg numbers! I also received a friends request on facebook from a guy i had met a while ago - Ianever give.my surname out so that was a mystery too! So beware folks - the male bunny boilers are really there!

I'm sure his employers would take a dim _iew of that. I have access to all kinds of data but if i used them for a non-work related reason I'd be out on my arse |

Every Number Plate check is logged, if someone did that to me I would report it, it's a form of harassment and it's illegal, if he works for who I think he does then this is a serious breach of conduct. Some people believe they are above the law and abuse their position like this o hope you don't let them get away with it. |

"Facebook links your phone number beware !!!!!"
This... if he has your phone number you'll appear in his "people you may know" bit on fb if it's all on his phone - then not too difficult to search further...
one of the reasons kik is better than text/whatsapp etc... |

To me such behaviour borders on sickness and desperation. Surely if the person had met or even messaged you they would know if they had a chance of anything more from the meet or messages if not why hassle someone. I'm friends and chat with several ladies who I know will not play with me at all as I'm not there type, but wow..we are friends and i wouldn't contenplate trying to track them down..what for ?? |

a quandary, could you change my mind? |
It's not just Facebook that links things together, WhatsApp is just one of a host of apps that ask for access to everything, you have to go into settings and disallow, but also check on a regular basis. Google collects lots of information.
I have read on the forums a lot about people using completely separate phones for the life outside of the vanilla world. |

Near enough |
to be fair it costs very little to look up someones car reg details if you are determined to do so.
just like we can all look up folks on Facebook, twitter, linked in etc etc etc, the lists go on and on. its simple if you don't want to be found, live in a cave and don't have internet or a phone. |

As far as I'm concerned Facebook is a total nightmare. The day you get shot of facebook is the day you start to get your life back. It's very additive very intrusive and most of the people you call friends are nothing more than people you once knew. Get rid of facebook and you will start to get your life back. As far as a person accessing your dvla record to find your address its totally illegal and that person needs to be stopped in their tracks. |
