What I find, having a birthday very close to Christmas, is that people very often don't have time to celebrate it. They have family things planned or no money left to spend on nights out etc.

Make your own plans OP and don't rely on others to join in from here. Have a great birthday when it comes. And although my profile shows me being 50 that was my fab birthday, I'm not there yet
