Any donations greatly accepted, otherwise I collect old telephones and miners lamps so if anyone has any that they want to give me free of charge, no money, Zippop, Ziltch .... feel free

Or your used panties will be considered as an alternative..

the fitness aspect is easy mate, entry requirements these days is run a mile and a half in 12 mins, 13 pressups in a minute and 15 or so situps in a minute.

really, if you have sex three or four times a week your fit enough to get in. They up your fitness during your basic training,

the fitness requirements i put down were for the Regular Army and RAF Regiment. the only one that requires pull ups is the marines and its 5 pullups i think.

TA overseas are stuck doing the crap jobs around base, not fun at all.

certainly brave of people to head to afghan while they take some time off from thier full time job but again its just to do the crap jobs and not go out on patrols etc

whilst serving i have been to Iraq once and Afghanistan twice and was happy doing the actual job than lug water canisters and boxes about camp

but has'nt someone got to do the mundane and crap stuff

would'nt camp fall apart if it was'nt done?

yes it still needs to be done, but it doesnt make a taster for the actual job and doesnt have anyone being envious of what they are left to do, which was my point.

Don't be too envious, trust me life outside the wire is pretty feckin grim and with the body count slowly but surely rising it is not going to get any better

Theres No 'I' in Team as they say.....

Wonder just how long you'd have lasted without them?? The actual job as you say only happens as a result... Tut Tut Tut lol...

Whilst i would agree with your statement it's also easy for servicemen to make extremely informed comment

What a load of bollocks this statment is!!!!!!!!!!!

Just Google TA soldiers deaths & see some of these so called "base bound soldiers" they died in the field supporting there regular forces comrades ......

"its easy for civilians to pass comment whilst looking in from what they read in the papers"

Rather read the papers than your twaddle on this ......

Lets get this right then, the army 'only' needs front line troops then.. nothing else?? No support, no cooks, transport.. no medics.. No support at all... Just the man with the gun... Wow!

Off to read the really stupid thread again...

and when did i say that?

DO NOT make comments about the TA being such a great likeness to the actual job when you know nothing about it!! Cooks, engineers, mediacal staff and 'men with guns' are ALL ACTUAL ROLES WITHIN THE UK FORCES, not roles that the TA take on overseas on operations!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

put your head back in the sand and refrain from guessing what happens within the UK Forces,

exactly, google it. it shows from where you get your info.

please inform me of the last death of a TA soldier in afghanistan and you will see it was not recently, as they are put into onbase roles only

and although that is thier jobs, it is still a brave thing to do, and how s that bollocks.

fucking ignorant civilians reading papers and internet snippets. you wouldnt make stupid fuckin guesses about Wall Street Finances as you know zip about it, so why make it about what goes on in Kandahar?

stay in your armchair and make comments, ignorant pigs

and TA soldiers are never placed in combat roles due to the fact that they are not trained for that. they are unfortunatly hurt and have been killed by IED's whilst in transit in vehicles.

i will not post here again as i am so pissed off, people who want to pass comment whilst they know sweet FA of what actually goes on, and from the comfort of thier own homes.

armchair critics and working class know it alls
