Was reading this Tracey Cox sexpert .
This lady said after a one night stand she feel sad . Cox say Around one third of woman in a recent study said thay ve felt depressed after sex, even if it was good. The official name for the condition is post-coital dysphoria caused by hormonal shifts after orgasm ..... Weird i feel happy but i know we are all very diffrent .. What about you sad or happy ??   |

my guess would be those that feel sad are feeling so as they are looking for something more from sex than just pure sex and when they don't find it they feel low
i can't say i have ever experienced that but then i really am purely after just a good ole shagging  |

In latin the expression is 'Post coitum omne animal triste est' - after sex all animals are sad.
Depends on what you think sex is for. I suspect behaviouralists, and those who follow the reductive idea that we are all animals whose task is procreation, then it makes a kind of sense because once you've reproduced your life work is over.
on the other hand, you might just see sex as enormous fun for all of us, in which case every good shag's a smile...

As the female half of the couple, I have to say that if I have a REALLY powerful orgasm, I often feel depressed afterwards, sometimes with tears. It's really weird. Generally happens on the rare time that I squirt (and no I'm not depressed about the mess it makes lol). |

I often cry after an intense orgasm. Dont think it has anything to do with depression. Ive also been known to break out in fits of giggles. Just a general release of emotion.
I would guess if a woman has one night stands to try and full fill an emotional need rather than just a physical need she could become depressed for all kinds of reasons |

Perhaps after a one night stand they feel dirty and therefore sad that they have been that stupid? 
For me it depends on the meet; if it was so so, i feel disappointed and perhaps still horney, If it was great then I exude sex, smell of it even and happy as a pig in shit |

I've (miss) been known to cry after a very powerful orgasm too. It's only ever been with Mr and it's like a huge release of emotions. The first time it happened, I sobbed for around 20 mins, then slept like a baby! He sometimes gets a fit of the giggles after he's cum too, it's hilarious!  |
