Just wanted to throw this out there and hope to get some good honest feedback
Obviously no body wants to get an STI and I would hope that people were concerned about there health if not they should be
If you are having a swinging life style I personally think it only makes sense to get yourself tested every so often what is everyones thoughts ? |

This is kind of like asking, if I throw myself out of an aeroplane, should I wear a parachute?
It's a choice. Like everything.
But there are sensible choices.
And risky ones.
Pick one.
And then get tested....

I don't know the answer to that. It might be swelling where the needle went in. You know what I'm going to say though don't you? if you're worried ask a doctor. :mumalert: |

If you Google "lump" you will be terrified within the first two search results .
I think that if you had a blood clot it wouldn't be visible or noticeable to the touch. Does it hurt more than normal?

doesn't hurt no, if i touch it it just feels hard. it should be gone in 5 days. i am reassured by the NHS page that it's ok, and if not i will die in my sleep and not notice anyway.
yeah won't be googling any more medical stuff without thinking of better ways to word them. |

We go every 4-6 weeks but in between each other going. Even when like now its been a few months since we had sex with others as there is still risks from oral and cross contamination.

you should do but how many people would admit they dont get tested. I met a man who said he didnt. It could be a long way to travel and you have to wait a long time to get seen. People maybe too busy to find the time to go every three months, or think they dont need too. |

"Recently been tested for the first time, find the results out next week.
Will start a 3 month cycle then, its free so silly not to " glad you have been tested but this still surprises me. That people in their mid 30s are getting tested for the first time.. and its not uncommon...
Had someone we knew ( now left the site..) mid 50s and went for the first time after years of swinging because as they always played safe they didnt need to. |

I went with a mate the first time because I had no idea what to expect. Realised it's not embarrassing, and not too time consuming.
Been going every 12 weeks since then.
I've also opted to have the hepatitis jab too just in case. |

I always bruised lots after they took bloods but last couple of times I've applied pressure a bit longer and kept my arm still. Before I kept flexing it for some reason.
I've not been bruised my last two tests now. |
