The contact magazine from the 80's / 90's
A comment on another thread - some young whipper-snapper was moaning about being too young and not getting a meet (after being on here for all of 2 weeks) said the lad should consider himself fortunate that he didn't have to write letters and send photos (usually dodgy Polaroids ha ha) to PO boxes from ads in newspapers.
Well, that was how I first started with this swinging malarkey too. Until I stumbled upon Rendezvous Magazine that is.
I had some amazing times, and met some wonderful people off there, and I wondered if any of you - like myself - have found your way on here, and maybe even feel a little nostalgic for the old pre-interweb days? |

Oh, wow - there's a memory!
I used to have it on subscription and though that it was wonderful... all you had to do was write to someone anonymous (yes, with a real letter, put in the post box and everything) telling them your address to write back to, and eventually you might get to meet someone who wasn't an axe murderer in a ditty mac...
We really though that this was a massive advance in connectivity!
Wow, folks today really don't know how lucky they are...

We came across a copy of Desire magazine a few weeks ago in the loft.
It was funny looking at the photos in the contact section, much the same as on here really, so not much has changed in the last 20 odd years.
Apart from thinking the pics of those in there 50`s then will be in there 70`s now, we hope they are still having fun... |
