Turning up and they look nothing like there pictures

Anyone else had this drama, it has happened twice now, with one even asking do i still wish to meet. Awkward situation that i truly left without chatting. |

Nearly happened to us a long time ago. We had been chatting to for a couple of weeks and were gettinng on great,and the ladies even chatted on the phone.They had been pushing to cam but we didnt even have a cam.We had made loose arrangements to meet,but bought a cam first.Well when the cam went on we got a big shock.They must have been bad at maths because they got their ages wrong by a good 10 years,lol.I didnt mind too much but Sasha thought he looked as old as her dadl.Deal breaker.Now we definitely wouldnt meet unless we exchanged face pics first. |

Once. He was looked about 15 years older than his face pics. He put his age at 43, though he was clearly in his late 50's. He's still on here 4 years later... Still claiming to be 43 on his profile. |

In general I've been pretty lucky facially wise.
I've met someone who had an appendage missing which they 'forgot' to mention, that was a tad awkward.... |

We met one guy who didn't look anything like his face pic - I'm not talking him being older than his pic, I mean he sent a completely different guy's face pic 
We had a drink with him and never met him again  |

Ive been really lucky, all of my meets have been as good or better than their pictures. I still worry that i wont look like my pics as we can all take good photos with good lighting but its the attraction in the flesh that matters. Thankfully no one has done a runner yet. |

Met someone in a pub, was a lovely looking lady who I thought had stood me up as she said she was in the pub with me, turned out to be a the 'guy' in the corner 
Was one of my very 1st fab meets and a very good lesson learned, not sure what he thought the outcome could possibly be. At least it was a meet in public tho and not at his house  |

in the past i have met men who looked older and a lot shorter, something which the people they have met before dont mention in their verifications they leave for them. most men look the same as in there pictures and sometimes better. |

Only on the sense that they look even better in the flesh.
I do worry that my pictures look better than I do though sometimes, I do try not to over edit and have a few pictures taken from different angles. So, people should be able to see what I look like when they look through my gallery. |

Never had a meet where the image was not as expected but our first ever meet the attitude change was amazing.
It was as though they expected us not to turn up and when we did they just did not have a clue.
He stayed upstairs watching corrie and eastenders leaving his lady to fumble around on her own. Not sexual just to try and keep us company until he'd finished |

Yes once met a couple and he wouldn't send a face pic, saw plenty if them together with face blurred out, said "don't worry mate she's a stunner" he seemed cool...Christ I preferred the blurred face, looked like a short Rod Hull!!!

I had one guy turn up who was a lot shorter, fatter and older than he purported to be and he definitely looked nothing like the pic I'd seen...
he said if he'd have sent a pic of what he actually looked like I wouldn't have met him...
at least he was right about that

Yes happened twice, went on social when she never showed her face picture in advance, was a shock as she was so ugly.
And another time turned up at this other woman's house and she was 10 sizes more than her photos, that was aukward to get out quick  |

I have been quite lucky as I am not especially interested in what they look like.The cock pics generally match and I usually add 5/10 years on whatever age they say they are..Lots of people will bend the truth in order to get laid.

Just out of interest, which 'appendage' was missing? I agree, that if a man has no penis, this is something that should be talked about, before deciding whether or not to meet. However, if someone has had an arm or leg amputated, is this really relevant to deciding whether or not to meet? Amputees have sex-lives, just like the rest of us.
Likewise, if a woman has had a mastectomy, would you expect her to disclose this to all potential meets? |

I've seen both men and women on here who look bugger all like their pictures - and yet they have loads of raving veris who never mention that they're way older/larger/uglier than their pics! #yesverisoftenlie!! |

never had this off here, only lies about their height. i've had the same as Ms Innocent, they tend to be better looking than their pics.
my ex def used old pics, should've taken that as a warning sign really but i was new to internet dating at the time. |

Twice it's happened to me. Once was a social - a lot older than his pictures and the other was a meet. I arrived at the hotel and went up to the room , stayed about 5 mins then made my excuses. |

Yeah when my partner and I first started on here we had what I guess is "the usual amount" of bloke's turning up, 10-15 years older than the pics with a "she's at home but said I should meet.. Got a sore throat so can't talk on the phone" sort of stuff.
After that we got pretty selective on who we'd meet. |

Nope, one of the guys we met was clearly older than he claimed, but that had been obvious from his face pic. Everyone else looked as we expected, even down to being the couple of inches shorter than their profile said (men tend to lie their height upwards) |

I came straight from a business meeting & was in full work mode when I went to shake the hand that wasn't there and ended up tugging up & down on his sleeve until he asked for it back. 
The problem wasn't the missing lower arm but the fact that I didn't know and therefore caused an awkwardness that wouldn't have occurred if he had told me.
If I had a mastectomy then I would tell my potential meets, some people are squeamish that way, quell any potential surprises. |

I met s couple a few years back x
They weren't my usual type and possibly s decade older than me x but after message exchange seemed nice x to be fair they weren't any oil paintings from their pictures but on arrival as we were all naked the male 'complimented me' by saying your not as fat as you look in your pictures!! |

I think I've been really lucky. I've only had one meet here so far, and she was more beautiful than in her pics. I also had many meets on an adult dating site, and each lady/couple was as depicted in pics. |
