Anyone else feel nauseous at overly nice comments.. personally I respect blunt honesty, it's hard to achieve as we are usually raised to 'be nice' but at least you know that person has given an honest thought about answer, not some fluffy guff to fool you into thinking they are a nice person...
now, I'm not saying go be mean and throw insults around but let's not be afraid of saying it how it is?? |

you just reminded me of my much older sister who never married, everyone who doesnt know her thinks she is really sweet, me and my sister and law know shes the complete opposite and we are both terified of her. Its often the ones who people think are nice arent so nice at all, they are good at fooling people thats all. |

i also find overly nice a bit weird, i'm the opposite and very blunt and try not to be a cunt with that but it's hard not to be...
there genuinely are people nice like that out there but they seem very strange, like they've been brought up in la-la land with michael jackson and his llamas.
i also agree with grumpy cat in that most people like that i've found are horrible inside and pretending to be something they are not, and they're usually 2 faced.
but i know there are a few people who are genuinely nice like that and they're ok, they just seem a bit detached from reality. |

I prefer honest talking to being nice just for the sake of it. However, honest talk can aslo be nice, it's a matter of balance. I don't think it's too difficult to distinguish actually nice comments from the fake ones. |

Nice and honest are mutually exclusive though ?
Although I must say people who are always nice and sweet and have no edge make me think they are hiding something
