I think a separate forum within this current one - much like the politics. I think it will help people to more openly discuss BDSM issues without fear of judgement or ridicule which can and does happen. |

It's a hard mix. The parties I run are mixed as I think it does gel well as most kinksters and bdsm people like to play too. But the hardcore of each dont like to mix. So it is hard sometimes.
If people want to be just into swinging or just into bdsm is fine. I don't rub it in people's faces I do my thing in the dungeon, if your curious have a go. If not watch.
To answer the question, why not have a fet section might get more people curious  |

Agreed. But I wonder if it would need a different style of moderation compared to the rest of the forums. |

This has been discussed loads before.
But I think the problem is discussing stuff that could potentially be seen as illegal. Our government is so up tight that female squirting is seen as an unnatural act, so many of the discussion in a BDSM forum could fall foul of that. |

The site owner (I suspect) would like the site to grow.
From other sites I've seen, there is a lotof respect. The interface might work. If not shut it down

I posted a thread about this yesterday, in terms of the government banning certain sex acts from porn. But it turned into an argument about brexit  |

Trouble is this is predominantly a swingers website and its free. So even with a different forum or section you're still going to get that.
It has merit though I think it's definitely worth a try. |

Mmm, true the moderation would have to be very tight, would need to be very process orientated more than content orientated. |

I wouldn't bother with a bdsm section. I'd go on the fet site for that. I don't feel I could openly discuss on here some of the kink stuff I do. You and I have discussed many times the reactions of some of the swingers regarding some of the Ds threads and that's over quite mild topics. I've had other times when I've had replies removed because they've contained stuff that mods have thought inappropriate. I do agree however that there is a crossover and more swingers and more swingers seem interested in fet.

Mmm, a lot of our discussions were about misconception, perhaps there could be a better understanding from a "toe in the water" type discussion area to de-demonise fet, I don't know.
What I do know is that forum discussions like this do give a more informed picture. |

thats why i feel a sub forum would be good, people starting threads who are actually interested in say asking questions about say terminology, which just get trashed in the main forum as you are battling people who have no interest in the subject apart from to trash it completely..at least then it could be moderated like the politics forum, if you arent interested you have the option to not join in x |

We are new to Fab and can't really comment about how mainstream swingers regard fetishists.
However we have been members of a fetish site for quite a long time and know that a lot of the people on that site regard swingers as less discriminating ... and I'm being kind when I use the term 'less discriminating'.
It would be great to have a small corner of Fab for those of us whose tastes are whetted by D/s interactions. |

I've not found the fet sites so useful for forum type chat.
Lots of kinksters enjoy the sex and swinging side too. The ones who are pure bdsm would probably not be on this site anyway, and outer Swingers won't be on the fet sites.
A section of the forum for kink would be great. And I don't see why it would have to be moderated any more robustly than any other threads.
