I wouldn't label it as 'treatment' (assuming you mean in a bad way). I would simply accept they had exercised their right to change their mind.
If someone says yes to meeting it is no cast iron guarantee they will keep their word. |

although its not a cast iron guearantee i would say that getting a message saying 'we dont need you' means that the person was being strung along until a better offer came up and that dont sit right with me
