I know Chams has its own range of swingers type jewellery but if there was something a little more simple for example a male/female/both etc symbol on a pendant or bracelet, would you wear it so your sexual preferences could easily be identified when out in those situations??
If you would, how would you like it to look i.e. ladies, would you want them pretty and feminine or bold and to the point?? Colours, size etc???
I'm a jewellery designer already and i've been thinking about this ever since we got into the scene and i'd love to have a go at creating a range but that wasn't 'club' specific if you see what I mean (however a small website address could be placed on the back if assistance towards advertising was needed!)
Any help or opinions appreciated but please don't get too silly with replies cause i'm actually trying to be productive lol |

I personally wouldn't purely because I like the keep my swinging activities totally separated from the rest of my life. I'd not want to be approached when going about my business, even in a discreet way. Plus I'd hate someone I knew in a social or work context to find out - yes, if they recognised the symbol it's probably because they are invovled in the scene too. But my private life is just that and I'd not want to advertise that.
But saying that, there's loads would be happy to wear it so give it a go |

i have seen this come up before,so clearly some people would use it.
The BDSM symbol is produced in lots of different forms, and many people wear it in jewelery. So there is precedent.
However i would not wear either, i am more than a swinger and not just a sub, if i am shopping in tescoes or visiting friends i do not need to identify my sexual tastes and preferences.
It is nice to meet other people who have a similar outlook, but to me that is what socials are for. |

If it's just for clubwear of course there's always the handkerchief code....

Or the three flag Code Flags signal (going back to the days of sail) for 'Request permission to come alongside' in the form of a brooch.
They're normally available from the Jewellery page on the CalmHarbour website. It's a .com

I think the OP meant only wearing the items when swinging, in a club etc. Its a good idea, im sure loads will go for it.
I however dont wear jewellery when in clubs, this is mainly because if I was wearing a bracelet, it jangles if Im giving a hand job and it embarrasses me, or if wearing a necklace, I tend to get it wrapped around other peoples body parts |

Thanks for your comments. I did mean it more to wear on a night out in the swinging situation ie for clubs parties etc to indicate your sexual preference ie straight, bi etc rather than to wear at work or Tesco's lol.
I'm not sure an everyday item would ever be feasible considering there is no actual definitive universal swinging symbol unless someone went out of their way to develop and promote one but it would always end up being known to the general public and again, many people wouldn't want to display what they get up to.
Sometimes I just feel it would be easier to just display that I am bi and not straight and I'm sure I can't be the only one? |

This has been mentioned before on these and other forums.
Great idea.... until the gutter press like the Sun, Record, NOTW etc (Hi Guys!) are looking for more dirt to dig up on our choice of lifestyle and print a story about what to look for to spot a swinger!

Yeah but if journalists went into swinging clubs, and they could very easily, any night of the week, just pay their membership and fee, and the chances are they would see swingers |

i wear an anklet chain all the time, which is supposed to mean im a swinger, but have never been approached
right leg is meant to mean hubbi knows, left leg hubbi knows nothing.
under tights means safe sex only and on the outside of tights means bareback.
mine is always on my right leg and on the outside of my tights if im wearing any. |

blimey, I didn't know this and I often wear an anklet in the summer, on either leg as the fancy takes me.
I have been told that a tongue piercing also indicated a willing blow jobber. |

Agree... dont wear much jewellery at parties and if at a swinging party no need to have a piece of jewellery to identify that I swing. Wouldnt want to wear a sign in my everyday life, where I go to great pains to keep this part of my life discrete.

You miss my point sur...
Papers (Hi Guys!) get to know what symbols swingers wear as a badge/broch/necklace.
Papers (Hi Guys!) print a story about this, with pictures that clearly show to their readership what these symbols mean.
You who is wearing one goes to the paper stand that very morning, along with 5 or 6 others that are using the paper stand as a library.... they come across the pics, glance up and see you sporting a nice pendant.... you see where im coming from now?

Of course OP is refering to wearing jewelry while in swinging 'situations'.
Surely though, its better to strike up a conversation with lots of people, rather than those who are wearing a badge to say their sexuality matches yours?
