"What did you expect? Anyone who is informed about the way the world works, trade agreements, futures, FX etc is shitting themselves over Brexit and Trump."

Let's not forget he can't do anything without the people around him giving the nod.
Doesn't any changes have to go thru senator voting
Why are we panicking
People are acting now for what may possibly be 2yrs down the line if at all, just like brexit |

Because he's got control of the senate. |

"He's a racist misogynistic homophobic fuckwit. What is there to be surprised about?"
That more than half the American electorate voted for him???
In any other area of human activity we seek and mostly listen to the advice of experts... In democracy those lease qualified make the decisions.
I am however totally confident the nuclear war button is absolutely safe under the thumb of a megalomaniac reality chat show host. What could possibly go wrong? |

A friend of mine said that he found it so difficult to believe how a country so full of thick people could be prosperous! Don`t forget those Yanks who wouldn`t come on holiday to Britain during the first Gulf War in case a bomb hit them! FFS, the Scud missiles could barely get off the ground, let alone reach the UK! Finally, a comment by a Yank on FB last week - "Ohbama needs to back to Africa where he was born .......!" Hawahii (sp?) in Africa? And I always thought you had to be born in America to be able to be voted in as President! |

Actually he is able to cancel trade agreements without it being endorsed by the Senate and the House of Representatives. He isn't able to sign new trade agreements or negotiate on existing. |

I don't understand this argument about 'the people around him', can someone explain?
Is it that we expect his advisors to moderate him?
My concern being that he appoints them. As we all know from 'The West Wing', "I serve at the President's pleasure".
So of he appoints them, why are they going to moderate him? |

The uk, much like the us, has many thick people, it's just that the us has a larger population, thus giving it a greater amount of thick people, the fact that folk are labelling an entire nation as thick is frankly ludicrous. |
