Bit of a double ender this one 
Been on the scene for about 18 months. Regulars at Townhouse. Met some great people and some who are friends for life.
Regularly chat to people there or we get noticed and messaged on fab afterwards. But of a recurring theme why people don't approach us.
1. Male looks big, strong and therefore a bit intimidating (I'm teddy bear really)
2. Female is very good looking, sexy and confident. Personality wise can come across as a bit dominant. Bit worried about approaching and being rejected.
Is anyone on here put off meeting people based on any of these characteristics.
We tend to not approach people who seem over the top with laughing for example. Don't know why but over exaggerated personality traits are a bit off putting for us.
Tend to approach people who look a bit nervous and need someone to break the ice.

It's the male half... but it was a topic we were discussing last night with swinger friends so I said I'd put something up.

In a club situation people's appearance doesn't put us off talking . But we don't like people who are overly confident and too outgoing and forward.
We would never not talk to someone who is better looking than us.

I'm quite an imposing stature and have heard the same things from friends / acquaintances (intimidating, scary etc) when in reality it couldn't be further from the truth (unless provoked) some people just have pre conceived ideas based around looks, just like you would approach someone who is particularly extrovert, they may not approach someone who looks a certain way despite neither of you actually knowing the other one.
