Disclaimer: Condom use is still the most effective contraception with multiple partners, to prevent STIs.
The trials of a new injection style contraception for men have been halted because of "intolerable" side effects. They have only affected a tiny proportion of the test subjects, leading to outcry by some women.
The pill and the mini pill, come with health risks to female users, which are proportionally more than the drug for men that has been stopped. Women have also dismissed some men's objections to the drug being injected into the testicle; citing the invasive and painful fitting of IUDs - the coil.
So is this right that a drug has been withdrawn from trials? When more women have side effects every day and their contraceptive pill, coil, injection are still widely used. |

Not Viz. maybe Jizz
Several different kinds are being developed including the type involving the injection:
"The treatment sees a doctor inject the synthetic gel into a sperm-transporting tube just outside each testicle. " |
