Good idea for a thread - It's mostly people complaining about bad opening messages.
As a guy I'd say any opening message I receive is a good one lol . One of the best was receiving a message from someone who liked one of my forum posts saying it really helped explain his disabilities.
Maybe not a sexy opening message, but a good one lol |

You know, I don't think we've ever really had a great opening message that sticks in our minds. We've certainly had plenty of bad ones which means an instant delete or block.
If it's not a bad one, we read the profile, it's that which then grabs our attention, then we look at the pictures which will confirm if we're interested and reply.
But I still think the same would be true even if we had the greates opening message, if the profile doesn't grab us, or we're not looking for the same experience then it seems pointless to explore things further.
But from our point of view, it's probably different to others, as our filters are quite tight, so we don't get an awful lot of messages, so would imagine for those that do get a lot, an opening message does make all the difference?
