Blimey - just had a look at their site. Some of their events have an even younger age limit at 35. I wonder if you have to present your birth certificate when you turn up, or is entry permitted using guesswork only ?!? 
Not being funny, or intending to be bitchy, but being younger than 49 is no guarantee of attractiveness anyway given it's such a subjective thing so it seems a little bit odd. What would this club prefer I wonder ... 'younger' people who make little effort to present themselves attractively or 'older' ones who take care of themselves?
FWIW .... at the obviously *extremely* advanced age of 51 we were absolutely inundated with offers to play when we were in Cyprus a few weeks ago - from other holidaymakers and expats alike. The sun must have obviously gone to their heads given how 'old' we are ....
