i see a lot of social meets for coffee

I have seen a lot of social meets or meets for a social and possible play after.
What happens if your not into coffee  im not a huge coffee fan and never set foot in costa in my life. Do they do cups of tea their? What do others do who arent into the coffee scene surely im not alone. |

Costa=disgusting coffee.
There are independent coffee shops that sell tea too. |

I rarely drink coffee - much more of a tea person.
If I suggest 'meet up for coffee', I'm using it as a generic term for 'any sociable beverage'.
When I suggest 'go for a drink', that is usually inferred to mean alcohol, even though mine won't be. |

I suggest "coffee" because by that I specifically mean a non-alcoholic drink during the daytime in a public place where I can dress in jeans and a t-shirt.
You don't have to drink coffee. You can drink orange juice, water, or tea. You can even have a bit of cake. But what I don't want is an evening meet in a bar, with alcohol (or rather, with someone questioning me why I don't want to drink alcohol), where I have to put smarter clothes on. |

Other coffee shops are available...
I also like to have lunch socials (going Dutch of course) so then a soft drink is more acceptable |

I do a lot of social meets in a local independent coffee shop near me. Along with the most amazing coffee they also do teas, hot chocolate (with cream and sprinkles if you want) and soft drinks. And there cakes are amazing! |

but I'd certainly go to an independent coffee shop if it was for a social with a lovely lady.
