I don't mind people cancelling if 'real life' takes over, these things happen.
But I guess I'd be a little put out if we'd locked in a date and then I found out I was cancelled but another veri popped up instead then clearly a better offer came along.
I've turned down a meet with someome that I've wanted to meet for ages before because I already had a pre-agreed date.
But I guess it all depends on how much you want to meet this person - depending on who it is you might want to give them a second chance and not mind being second choice when a more enticing alternative comes along. |

i have done exactly this, just the once, then i stopped planning meets as i realised i couldn't keep on top of that.
it's more rude to cancel on the first person you made plans with than the second. i did tell the guy i cancelled on the day before i was meeting him and didn't just spring it on him. |

actually ignore me, i haven't done what you said. they probably presumed you weren't interested? i don't like it if a guy goes quiet on me once the meet is arranged and will cancel in my head and go looking for someone not as 'ignorant'. |

If that happened to me I'd message them and explain that their behavour did not make me feel good. I would also say that I don't want to be in contact with people who make me feel bad and so explain to them why I'd be blocking them.
Lifes to short to have people forgetting about me! lol |

"Would you cut off a first meet with someone if.. you agreed to meet on a particular day, only to find out they agreed to meet someone else instead? And then said sorry forgot we had plans."
We've had it happen, we'd all agreed on a date, time and where to meet. They then suddenly forgot a few days later. Hmm, more like they got a better offer.
No, we didn't take them up on their offer to reschedule. |
