2 or 3 years? Go for it if it makes you happy. 10 or 15 and you're fooling no one but yourself.
It's not so bad here as far as I can tell, but on dating sites every other person seems to make me go 'yeah, right...sure you're 35 love'  |

its a bit stupid, if they are really quite nice and good fun then it wouldnt bother me so much, only when they lie about their age they also lie about other things too i have noticed on occasion, and i dont mean just knocking a few years off, more like several. |

I could understand in some cases. Say a 50 year old woman looked 40, but did not want a 50 year old man. Could set the profile to attract the guys looking for 40 year old woman, then come clean.
If Jennifer Aniston told me she was not really 40 I'd get over it!

What if say 58 year old who looks their age knocking 7 years off. Be a bit shocked at a meet if that were the case. |

I am 39 and got asked for ID in Tesco the other day. I don't have reason to lie about my age. Well maybe I might to message a local lady who has a 36 limit...  |

I guess so, depends on the situation, most situations I Would say its pointless.
This site should be less about ages, sex and status than most other social media.

Be honest, state your real age, be yourself and let people decide for themselves if you are of interest. If not it's their choice exactly as you have yours.
