The less information you give people the more they have to guess. Usually when people stress the need for discretion it means they are in some sort of relationship.
I am open on my profile about my living circumstances and relationship status so people don't need to ask or make any assumptions. |

OP you don't have to explain yourself to anyone except those who show a interest in you and ask you question which is natural behaviour when thinking about meeting someone new .
